Everything about this is a recipie for success, hits all the notes, but particularly the two things: rising above the disappointments and staying on the high road (leadership path and only road to be on) to the destination: attractiveness and desirability (you are not just another chore) such that they can't wait to climb on. As the poor guy who wrote the post you identified with, Jack's response fucked with my ego (or vice versa) to the point where it took three or four re-reads, and a fitful night's sleep, to be able to get my hamster to stop saying "fuck, he's way off on x, y, and z, therefore just ignore him" and start saying "fuck, he might not have gotten everything right, but he's been able to see through the couple of hundred words you wrote and hit home on some really deep home truths". There is so little honesty in this world, so few people willing to hold a mirror up to you, or indeed to themselves, that in the rare situation where you stumble across a community where you can get that honesty you need to, as you say, kill your ego and let the truth in. Anything less and you are cheating yourself. And if you can genuinely empathise with other stories, and identify the parts that apply to yourself, you're only going to magnify the benefits of being a part of this community.

So what have I done in the last two weeks to be attractive/energising, and not be unattractive/enervating? In summary, I'm just being less of a dickhead. I am am mindfully working to stay on the right side of the playful asshole/arrogant dickhead line, and to respond to rejection more like an OI rock rather than a half autistic retard, which has been harder than it should have been. I'll give the three points above some thought, and see how I can incorporate the concepts into my own MAP. FR to follow when I've got something meaningful to report.

How about, accepting the fact that she doesn't love you/finds you unattractive right now. Is that not the point of the philosophy?
This acceptance is probably what is driving me to not be complacent about self-improvement. I want to be attractive to all women, my gf being one of them.

Am I wrong?

couldn't get past the fact that your insurance agent is also your financial planner. wtf talk about conflict of interest. you need to have separate fp and insurance agent. (and no I'm not saying ins is bad- quite the opposite- but not as an investment unless all other investment options have been expended). sorry rant over. continue on.

As the captain, it's one of your burdens of performance to inject copious amounts of positive, fun energy into your relationship.

This sustained effort is not trivial and draws attention to the importance of self care to prevent Ego Depletion. Pursuing your passion, hobbies, lifting, maintaining male friendships, etc are not just activities for creating distance and building attraction, they're essential for keeping your batteries charged so that you can stay 'on point'.

It took me a while to find that balance between a controlled ego (killed) and maintaining confidence in most things. It really came down to accepting things for how they were, and not lamenting them (Your point one). I coupled that with working on outcome independence, which also helps frame. Whether dealing with friends, family, or my wife- I have a plan to reach my goals, which includes a certain type of attitude (tying into your point two). With this, ego was killed (or controlled) and confidence was high. That's the masculine attraction you're talking about in (point three).

TLDR: x+y=z. The formula is simple once you have the understanding.
