Im so sick of this crowd no matter what sub youre in there is always some jackass that has to try to prove their intellectual superiority over you. Not to mention the hostility of just being a man everytime i get into a political debate. I tried to show and spread love. All Ive been met with in return is hostility. Im not even mad right now. I just dont have the energy for it anymore. And i feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It feels good to just walk away from things that dont compliment your life. Sometimes we get sucked into things like reddit. Thinking we can change people or open their minds. Most of them are too far gone. I always say, you might not be able to change the world but you can change your world and change my world i will.

Just remember reddit and the internet in general has usage demographics that lean towards poor social skills and a lack of touch with the outside world.

Garbage in garbage out. The defaults and most large subs are garbage. Ads are garbage, most "news" is garbage, politics is garbage... your brain deserves better food than that

Good on you for recognizing a toxic environment and simply walking away.

I find it's simultaneously painful, saddening and otherwise silly to get into any kind of debate right now. This whole world is a hotbed of strife and anything other than complete submission to an aggressors will is an invitation for trouble.

But I digress. Good on you again. I hope you can find something to fill gap and bring yourself at least a modicum of joy.
