My son is 6' 4" and good looking and out going. Women approach him all the time. The hottest women in a room will make sure he sees them. When he was at University they would bring him his coffee during class.

He is unaware that this is not what 'normal' men experience.

Yes some guys have it real easy.

Any tall or wealthy men have it much easier, yes. Just like any beautiful women has an easier life too. But for men wealth, or coming from privilege, matters even more since we are still expected to be providers.

Objectively yes. Two things that are determined at birth: the wealth and educational level of your parents, and the genes that will decide how tall, athletic, and pretty you are.

Those two factors make up nearly all privilege. If you're wealthy and pretty, life is far easier than otherwise.

Edit: you mentioned race. I think that matters far less than many would argue it does. A rich, tall, well-educated, beautiful Indian man has it far better than a poor, uneducated, short white guy with an acne-scarred face.

One big big correction. Indian law gives a lot more rights to women. Actually women here have more legal protection than in the west. And even false assault cases are considered very seriously here. The only reason India seems backwards is because of the same reason India seems to be backwards in other fields. The law is not followed.

For example, there are girl only tier 1 colleges, women reservations in top colleges, women reservations in government posts, and women reservations in many other areas.

For the amount of prejudice society has against women, law has a proportionate amount of prejudice against men.

Honestly, in a hostile environment where your compassion is weaponized by other people to hurt you or to lure you into a trap, those who lack compassion have an edge in that they're effectively immune to the easiest way of pushing people to their downfall.

I disagree with these comments generalising about tall/white/rich men.

I can guarantee you there are millions of poor short indian men who had an easier life than me lol.

Ofcourse some men have it more difficult, but using race and looks to instantly decide how easy someones life is is truly disgusting.

As far as white and rich.. I've seen plenty of minority good looking rich men. That seems to be one of the major players. Wealth. And in some cases wealth and looks. But no man has it inherently easier in this world. I thought this was a solidarity sub. Not splintering us into factions seems the better choice.

Ease of life is very much a genetic lottery over which you unfortunately have little control as well as the influence of others over which you have little control; and the reality is that people legitimately have preferences. This can create difficult situations for many people when all the influences combine against them. Nature has never been fair, but red in tooth and claw: it's up to human intelligence to introduce fairness and justice for itself, but we are still just animals with a thin veneer of intelligence and a long way to go to achieve that (sadly held back by periods of selfishness, such as capitalism and private enterprise).

The tragedy is that society is not structured on those things that can be equal between people whilst not requiring equality in other things, such as happiness and deserving a minimum acceptable quality of life given to them simply for being created (not mere existence in misery and suffering).

Try not to be envious, but seek your own happiness via a different (legal) path, instead of keeping up with the Joneses. Women aren't the only path to happiness (often the reverse), just the traditional one.

Every single time someone says "men have more rights than women in X country", what they really mean is "I'm just focusing on what women DON'T have".

Almost every single time a man has something good over a woman, it's because he has an additional responsibility, duty, obligation, setback, etc.

OP, to answer your question: Yes, some men have it easier than other men just like any other group. However, they all still share the same male struggles regardless of the extent.
