5 years really does seem too low. I’m all for increasing the time an actual guilty rapist serves and I think a false accuser should serve equal time. We don’t need these people in society.

I am military and you wouldn’t want to believe how often this does happens. Didn’t even have to have sexual relations with a woman and they will fuck your life up seen it happen way to easy by just saying, “o he touched me inappropriately” and your behind bars for an investigation.

Had a false accusation made against me once from an ex of nearly 10 years. I got made to feel like a criminal, phone seized for 8 months waiting for a knock at the door one night to arrest me. Struggling to survive monetary wise in the home we had, had to sell a car plus a few other things to get by living pay check to pay check. Meanwhile she moved back home with her parents scot free, nothing came of the allegation except a mark against my name for the rest of my life on a CRB check. I asked the police what happens if it comes out false to her? He said nothing & I replied thats pretty fucked up then.

Mentally ruined me for life, can't trust anyone and keep replaying that year over and over in my head.

False accusations should carry the same time a man would receive if the allegation was true.
