Sadly as a man with no daughters, I'm unable to think of women as real people.

Yeah.... I would love to see that one get 1.8k likes lol

[–][deleted] 31 points32 points33 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You would probably get your account terminated and CNN would run a story to shame you.

[–]Pz5 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Inadvertently advertising that no man should ever take her seriously. She will never be worth it.

[–]foxmulders 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Are you not getting the joke? She's making a joke about how guys like Affleck and Damon made statements about the Harvey situation by dragging their daughters into it. 'As a father with daughters I'm horrified blah blah blah'.

Can't men make statements without mentioning their daughters? Are women not important until a man has daughters?

[–]Mode1961 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are women not important until a man has daughters?

You got that backwards, MEN aren't important until they have daughters.

[–]PowerToAnnihilate 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Are you not getting the joke?

is the joke murdered when I gender swap it? If so why?

'As a father with daughters I'm horrified blah blah blah'.

'As a mother with sons I'm horrified blah blah blah.'

Can't men make statements without mentioning their daughters?

Yeah, but they mentioned it to add an extra oomph (because people care about women and children, and girls are both). Who would care if instead of saying "think of my uncle" yeah nobody cares lol.

Are women not important until a man has daughters?

yeah go burn that strawman yourself lol. Bad.

[+]foxmulders -7 points-6 points-5 points 8 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

If people cared about women so much how did so many get assualted without anyone speaking up?

[–]N3dr4 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If we live in a patriarchy why do so many men die without people caring ?

[–]foxmulders -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When did I say that p word?

[–]PowerToAnnihilate 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

people did speak up... like those guys you mentioned lol

[–]foxmulders 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't count when you speak up 15 years later AFTER you found out. Affleck and Damon have both been exposed as knowing about it.

[–]PowerToAnnihilate -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

wait so by your logic cosby's rape victims are invalid...

[–]foxmulders 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's not at all what I said.

[–]PowerToAnnihilate 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't count when you speak up 15 years later AFTER you found out. Affleck and Damon have both been exposed as knowing about it.

so why would they wait 15 years then and how does their waiting show female oppression (?)

[–]SpikedGIraffe 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

how did so many get assualted without anyone speaking up?

Because the women trades SEX for FAME.

They were all adults and they all made their choices. Other than a few accusations of rape that are yet to be proven he did nothing illegal.

They claim to have been scared...then why not speak up after 20 years after they had become multimillionaire mega stars? What were they scared of?

Every woman that kept silent for all these years helped enable him to continue. Their silence was their approval of his behavior.. Obviously Fame and Money were more important to them than their pride.

If these women cared so much about what he was doing...why are they only speaking out now? They could have stopped this decades ago...but they didn't.

[–]foxmulders 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

nah dude.

[–]SpikedGIraffe 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What a cerebral response.

[–]armaadi 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They probably took something in exchange for their silence, like fame or money. Once one person comes out, the rest feel they can pile on. If they had conviction, they would have accused him immediately instead of waiting 20 years and soaking up all that fame and fortune. Now that they have the safety of someone else having the courage to say something and they've already reaped the rewards of staying silent, they can come forward.

[–]SpikedGIraffe 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can't men make statements without mentioning their daughters?

Can Feminists stop trying to police others speech?

[–]rimper 31 points32 points33 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"But cats on the other hand"...

[–]TheJazzProphet 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Shhh... Cats will save humanity if we just let them. They attract the crazy women who make humanity better for not passing on their genes.

[–]hotfrspock 59 points60 points61 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Guess she doesn’t have a father, brother, male cousin, nephew or any other male family members either?

[–]HeForeverBleeds 49 points50 points51 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Or she just dehumanizes all of them. For that matter, even if she did have a son, she could hate him, too. Sadly, some boys are raised by misandric mothers

[–]hotfrspock 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yet somehow men are still the problem. /s

[–]98437849h 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Its pretty obvious she doesnt have a father who loves her

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Her mother probably divorced raped the dad and took custody

[–]HeForeverBleeds 29 points30 points31 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

What's worst is that she got so many likes, so evidently a lot of people think misandry is okay. And yet these very same cunts will demand that men respect them and "treat them like people"

It's just more of the typical feminist hypocrisy thinking they're justified in hating men and attacking men's rights, yet for some reason think that they deserve to be supported and taken seriously

Feminists say they're concerned about supposed cultural misogyny, but how does this help? Men, especially those few who already hate women, aren't going to start loving women more because of Tweets like this; just the opposite

[–]The__Tren__Train 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

she's expressing her toxic masculinity

her views are men's fault

[–]TigPlaze 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. I've met hateful feminists like that who claimed, not that misandry was okay, but that it didn't even exist! How do you even talk to someone who totally denies any problem.

[–]The__Tren__Train 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How do you even talk to someone who totally denies any problem.

you dont

[–]TigPlaze 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely.

[–]Squidnigiri 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I just saw a news report this morning that there is a single woman epidemic which has led to more promiscuity. HahaHa! Is it just me or is finding an awesome trustworthy woman becoming more rare? I believe it's because many women behave like this and feel like they are the better gender. Feminism is not about equal rights because that has already happened; it's about better rights.

[–]The__Tren__Train 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

is finding an awesome trustworthy woman becoming more rare?

guess ill be devil's advocate.. did they ever exist in the first place? society had some pretty serious penalties for misbehavior.. those penalties have since been turned into rewards, and this is the result

soo..

[–]deegan79 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

On their own? No. But up till the middle part of the 20th century, society had hard rules for dealing with women’s hypergamous nature. While these rules did keep women dependent on their husbands, these same rules also made sure a husband did right by his wife and children.

[–]armaadi 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Victimhood is appealing for people without accountability. If you fail, you can blame it on others, in this case, the patriarchy. You didn't drop out because you spent all your time partying, you dropped out because the men in your class shamed you out. You didn't get the job because you were abrasive in your interview, you actually didn't get the job because the men hated you and your vagina.

If feminism were to vanish, so would a lot of the victimhood. Suddenly, women's failures, and by extent their successes, would be all on them. That is scary for them. Imagine, having to earn your own way with only having yourself to blame.

[–]BlueOrange22 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is like the white feather campaign in WW1 where the suffragettes shamed men I to fight and die. They were awful, just look at the poster:

http://spartacus-educational.com/FWWfeather.htm

SJW feminism is an organized hate group

[–]The__Tren__Train 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

10 years later

'where are all the good men???'

[–]SpaceMiner8 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]longtimelurkeracct2 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is clearly a joking response to the many men and articles who have framed their criticism of Weinstein around their having daughters/wives etc. And calling that out -particularly through viral/humour posts- is really good for mensrights too.

There is nothing wrong with relating events like this to your personal circumstances, but the fact that is the first reaction in a lot of media articles (imagine that could be your daughter/sister) instead of just ‘this is fucked up behaviour’ is not helpful. From a mensrights perspective it is even more important to get rid of that gendered reaction, because it helps elevate the many complaints that have come out from male stars (Terry Crewes, James Van der Beek etc) to the same narrative about power dynamics and abuse in Hollywood. It is so important that in the movement to stop sexual harassment and calls to action coming out of the Weinstein case the need for more protection for male stars isn’t lost too.

[–]MagicTire 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Clementine Ford has a son. What is her overall view of men?

[–]armaadi 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

https://antifeminismaustralia.com/clementine-ford-man-bashing-quotes/

Pretty low, apparently. One would almost say hateful of men.

[–]McFeely_Smackup 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wonder what it's like to so casually be able to disparage and stereotype an entire gender with zero fear of repercussions, or even contradiction.

[–]heimdahl81 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She is unable to care about other people unless it affects her. Textbook psychopath.

[–]Mode1961 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I freaking hate this whole "WE" thing with this guy. I have seen dozens of posts on FB etc over the last week saying things like "This guy is a horrible person and we should have been treated better" or words to that effect. My response is always the same "WHO are WE", you never met the guy and what he may have done has no effect on your whatsoever.

[–]BF1_Player2016 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Weinstein funded feminist propaganda in hollywood. He deserves every bit of false allegation for creating that monster.

[–]aDoseOfEmpathy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are posting this out of context. She is referring to how people often say things like, "As someone with a daughter...I find this abhorrent!" When people could have just as easily left the daughter part out.

You don't have to have a daughter to think his behavior was shit.

[–]shellbroth 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's OK, as a man I'm able to completely ignore every women out there. Just act as they literally don't exist, don't look at them, don't talk to them, etc. Some female coworker thinks I'm a bit strange, but I just ignore everything from them.

[–]GreasedLightning 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Meanwhile, "Not all women are like that, you know." In the same reality no less.

[–]Sh1r0_Vx 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Imagine this being on her Tinder profile.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I am glad you don't have a son.

[–]Pseudonymble -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Perhaps there is a reason why she has no sons?? Hrmmm...

[–]TigPlaze 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let me guess. She'll never admit to her blatant bigotry.

[–]NH_Lion12 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

What the fuck does that even mean? How's that something you would think? Some people are just too dumb.

[–]High-Fruit-Trinity 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. She was being sarcastic

[–]Man-n-Stars 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She doesn't see half the population as being real, she could do harm with no repercussions to that group. She is not "kidding" any more than rad porn hub was. She's a psychopath.

[–]ThePigmanAgain 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hope she ends up trapped in Harvey's hotel room. With Harvey, of course.

[–]cuauhtem0c -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

she should have her kids taken away

EDIT: OMG I thought it said "as a woman with sons". I hope she doesn't have kids, boys or girls.

[–]High-Fruit-Trinity -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She was being sarcastic

[+]ManChildProud -6 points-5 points-4 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Women contribute nothing to society. It’s amazing how others don’t see that. Such whiny bitches that need to be coddled

[–]thebodymullet 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, you're not helping anything.

[–]Mens-Advocate 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He's right to the extent that women's contributions are over-appreciated, and men's under-appreciated.

[–]thebodymullet 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

With that I cannot disagree. However, his statement is inflammatory and invites contention at best, not dialogue. It won't do a thing but help to dig the trench a bit deeper.

[–]ManChildProud 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I like venting so it helps me temporarily

[–]thebodymullet 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fair point. Everybody needs a vent. However, in a text-only forum, its even easier to take your statement out of context. Posts like that end up pasted into Huffpo's justification for why men are whiny/violent/man-children/etc. You can't change anything by showing the opposition exactly what they want to see.
