Again, I think MRA'S should avoid use of the word "oppression."

Feminism uses "oppression" because they have reinvented history as millions of years of men oppressing women.

It's patently absurd but it casts them as victims which they love. Their ideology warps everything that even when they have to admit men have problems they just blame men.

It's a deranged ideology that seeks power.

We don't call men oppressed. Oppression suggests slavery. We say men are often discriminated against which is ignored most of the time and when anyone try speaking up against it, they are immediately shut down.

I mean, both are right. The main reason we still have both of these movements is because the majority of either side does not want to empathise with the other. Instead of being understanding and seeing each other as human beings, they rather shelter hate, ignorance and arrogance.

Both men discrimination and female discrimination are serious problems, however we will not advance if we act like five year olds.

Its obvious to me that there are some areas where men face discrimination, and some where women do. Rather rather tackling both sides it does often descend into a who has it worse debate.

The point to me is more that in the last 50 or so years there has been a huge amount of legislation passed that tackles discrimination against women, and very little passed that does the same for men. Indeed a lot of legislation has actually discriminated against men in the name of helping women.

With this legal / political situation I think it is necessary to push mens rights as strongly as womens rights have been. Ideally we would all focus on everyone's rights improving, but people will always consider some issues more important and those are often the issues which effect them most. So a healthy debate and balanced leadership is needed, not the current system which forces feminism into law and attacks anyone who raises a concern.

Assuming your equivalence of feminism and the MRM is valid (the former is an ideology based on bigotry and supremacy, the other is a human rights movement that seeks to reform disparities in the law):

Feminist ideology is firmly entrenched in educational cirricula - school-children are taught about Patriarchy in the primary/elementary level (see the link above for the implications thereof). Feminist values are enshrined in criminal law (such as Mary Koss' influence over the definition of rape as something that only a man can do) and civil law (the tender years doctrine leading to the massive disparity in child custody). Feminist values are presented in mainstream media in all formats and are culturally accepted.
Mens' Rights Advocates can't even talk about the suicide epidemic without violent protests and media slander, none of which result in the bad actors being held accountable despite the video evidence.

Further, womens rights advocacy is not the same as feminism. One is a noun of a verb (one who advocates for womens rights), the other is an ideology (one who, as discussed above, favours a bigoted and supremacist worldview to the benefit of correct-thinking women).

Look brother, this is not a women hate subreddit. We are here to raise awareness about issues faced by men and for that purpose if needed, we can express our dislike of those men-hating dumb feminazis.

It should be similar on pro feminism subs but clearly, it's not.

You're not wrong, plenty of men here agree that there are certain issues for women that need to be addressed, but interpretation is also key.

Right now we are in a weird place where being able to work is considered freedom and being able to stay home and raise your family is considered oppression. I'm sure plenty of men would call it oppression if they felt dependent upon their partner so could not leave if there was some issue, but many would also feel liberated by at least having the option.

Everything is interpretation.
