okay, so i've tried to figure this out and search for valid information, but mostly i've found things that just spew a lot of hate towards feminism or say that men have more issues than women, and that's not really helpful. i consider myself a feminist and i want to understand.

first, let me ask you to please not get nasty with me, as i don't really feel like arguing and i just want some information and explaining. i realize a lot of stuff in intersectional feminism teaches that you don't have to explain yourself to anyone - i.e. just because you're trans doesn't mean you're an expert on all things trans, just because you're a PoC etc - so i get if you don't feel like explaining, but if you do reply please don't lash out at me, remember i'm actually here and trying to learn to make things better/clearer, not fuck up your uhh movement? group? i don't really know what you consider it

but let's just get on with it. ok so this board/subreddit's faq says you're trying to help men with this: "custody, alimony, reproductive health and rights, and education"

um ok i'm gonna ask things out of order, but what reproductive health rights do men lack? i really have no clue and can't think of any. but i do know that women's health rights are constantly on debate, which is pretty scary, knowing that your ability to be unpregnant is on the line. + nonbinary and trans people have major issues that are totally ignored all the time regarding reproductive health.

and then education, like what specifically? i know boys are lower in english than girls, but girls are lower in math and science. there's incentive to raise gender scores on both sides: often in english classes we are introduced to male-centered novels and books about more "boy-ish" things (gender roles, i know) to entice male interest in literature, so that they can connect with the characters more. the issue with this, however, is that it probably doesn't serve its purpose since it doesn't actually help or tutor boys; and if male-protag novels are supposed to interest boys, wouldn't that logic say it would disinterest girls?? making girl scores worse?? idk man.

if you're talking sex ed you must be out of your tree bc as a girl, i was never taught about sex & male anatomy in school, only about my own anatomy and abstinence, where the "boy group" (my school split up sex ed by sex) learned about female anatomy & their own which is a little troubling. everything i learned about sex and all related things came from the internet. this whole "boy-girl" thing is also very binary-only and excludes/disregards all queer people since we only learn about straight sex (if any sex at all).

alright, and i know custody and alimony is swayed a lot but hold on - like gender roles right?? don't you think the idea that women are thought of as "babymaker housewives" is part of why mothers are usually granted custody? and that men are thought of as "the strong breadwinners who don't have time for that shit" and are expected to take care of everything, work, and masculine stereotypes is why they usually are not granted custody and have to pay child support??? and women are too weak and incapable to make enough money so the big strong men who don't have any emotions blahbalhabalhah pay child support? that's kind of what the idea of a patriarchy is, you know? it affects everyone and feminists are aware of this, we aren't usually evil cunts

i don't know anything about divorce, but i can imagine the same shit for the same reasons, tell me if i'm wrong

i often witness feminism looked at as a single-issue kinda thing by MRAs, but as it has emerged again and become more popular lately, it is intersectional feminism that has prevailed and been the most popular, that covers all issues of all minority and groups with their shit on the line, like race, sexuality, ability/health, weight, gender, wealth, etc. and like lots of people with privilege lash back, like white people and cis people and straight people and thin people and well-off people and men and like

i am cis, white, well-off, perhaps not thin but not overweight, and physically able, and i see how people with these traits have affected those who are trans, pocs, poor, fat, and disabled, and i understand that when people are saying "fuck cis people" and how much they hate white people that like

i don't know... i don't take it personally, because historically people with those traits were better off, and i understand the discrimination they go through would make them weary of people with those privileges, and that's different from institutional oppression.

but clearly some inequality is there, and men don't always not get the short end of the stick (sorry double negative), so i want to try and understand other issues and yeah i want to learn.

if it sounds like i'm trying to refute you or what you're saying, i'm not, it's just like these are all the opinions and stances i've learned from feminism that already explain what you are saying

i also want to know if mens rights is also intersectional, or do you not like any of the privilege structure around any of those groups i talked about before? what other things do you guys like fight for?? my brain is honestly a little fried bc 420 and it's like late, and i had a migraine earlier so i can't really think of any other questions right now, but yeah.

please be kind. i'm sorry if i seem indignant, i'm not trying to be. (pls don't say it's what feminism taught me it's not lets not bash and demonize because i'm not demonizing you, although some people do and i just want solid information to base my opinions on from multiple people and resources) thanks.

i'm also not stupid if i seem stupid it's probably just my humor or typing style

i'm rattling on, i just don't know how to end this solidly so
