I began reading the article, and stopped after Schroedinger's Rapist was brought up. Then I, stupidly, moved to the comments. The amount of men in the comments giving thumbs up and saying "great job!" made me realize something:

No one is cashing in on the White Knight / I'm-male-and-my-gender-is-horrible craze that is sweeping our youth.

I was inspired to come up with a design and cash in on this trend. Ladies, but mostly Gentlemen, I give to you:

Women, of course, have the right to be afraid--especially in an unkind universe. Knowing a few victims of sexual assault myself, I can't say their fears are unfounded.

But if you applied the same logic to any other situation, you'd get a very different response. Someone with little morals could make up some BS argument that, hey, according to statistics, people with green skin commit more crimes, so I have to assume all green-skinned people are evil until proven otherwise--and you would be, quite rightly, labeled a racist. Assuming all men are evil, somehow, is different.

So if you're a "creeper" by their standards--if you're like me, and have really bad skin and severe asthma--you'll get constant complaints from women to supervisors or campus police about that "scary looking guy", when I can't scrub my skin away or take any more medication than I already do, and I can't sit any further away from any women I come into contact with,--but, I'm told, me and people like me need to suffer because 1/6th of me is a potential rapist.

When one of the "creepy" guys like myself is inevitably brought to court on false allegations from an (understandably) confused victim, no one is going to say that the system was sexist and try to re-integrate us into society. Rape allegations, when it comes to reputations, are proof of guilt--as long as you're ugly. We'll be told, as usual, that we need to be shunned so that women can protect themselves, and probably with the same breath that says more feminism would be the answer, and that our opposition to their brand of feminism is just opposition to "traditional male privilege."

And, of course, the opposite isn't allowed--if I tried to create a men-only club where men like myself might not need to remove themselves as far away from women as possible, we'd be misogynists. Feminists only acknowledge their own fear.

Even if their fear can be justified, why does the pursuit of "equality" mean men need to be treated, by both society and the system, as guilty until proven innocent? Why does being born both ugly and male mean we are denied, supposedly through "logic", the same rights the feminists claim they want for everyone?

Not only do they refuse to address this issue, they purposefully try to confuse it. They love to hate the "Nice Guy" / "Ladder Theory" meme because it allows them to say that men who feel sexually frustrated are only sexually frustrated because they lack assertiveness. But, as the article proves, there is no way for the stereotypical "Nice Guy" to be both assertive and not seen as a potential rapist.

If you talk to a woman when she's doing something else--which is every human, ever--then you're a threat. If you don't, then you lack assertiveness. Men aren't putting off marriage because they don't want to have a family, they're putting off marriage because they're being told talking to women is tantamount to a sex crime.

I've read this before and I'll probably run by this trash again at some point. You can't make rational observations with most people that identify as feminists, and trust me, I've tried. There's just this intellectual disconnect when it comes to any issue that they have a difference of opinion on. Some will say that men aren't the enemy yet still treat them collectively as such, while others are more consistent in their beliefs that all men are potential aggressors and rapists, just waiting in the shadows to attack any poor hapless woman to stroll by. At this point, I've seen it so much that I'm not sure if that idea is more offensive and sexist, or if it's just the laughable delusions of some mental degenerate with a victim complex.

I fail to understand it when I say I am paranoid about people in public and don't trust them people consider me weird and say I should be in therapy. When a woman says it about men they are justified? How are they any different?

I can understand the first part, being aware, since it is a risk. But I think thats common sense...

However, I don't have to treat a woman like a sheet of glass... if she is reading a book on the subway, I don't feel it is rude to say "Hey! I love that book" :) I mean there are some horrible guys out there, but am I going to attack you on a crowded train? NO! If I started following you off the train, then worry. But really? All the time? Thats just paranoid beyond the norm.

This is where it gets complicated in life.

Everyone knows if a man never makes a move to talk to a woman, he will be denied any social interaction with them.

But if he tries to talk them, it's considered rape according to this article.

So in the end, are men just force to suffer an endless loop of being discriminated against, seeing as how "Ms Perfect" will never land into your lap magically.
