Personally I think that men should have equal reproductive rights, but I'm just going by the logic of people who think women should have to be drafted to have equal rights.

Let's ignore the fact that if we go by the "women shouldn't have the right to vote if they're not drafted, because it's not their bodies being directly endangered by a potential draft" logic, then men shouldn't have the right to vote either, because "it's not their bodies being directly endangered by" anti-abortion laws that may be made, even in the case of having been raped and/or having one's life endangered if they don't get an abortion.

Let's disregard that for a moment.

"Equal rights necessitate equal prerequisites," right? Then they do in all cases. Full stop. You can't pick and choose.

So if "equal rights necessitate equal prerequisites" then men should have no guaranteed right over their children because they didn't fulfill the equal prerequisite of childbirth beforehand.

"But then they shouldn't have to pay child support?" I hear.

Well, back to the draft logic: if women didn’t have the right to vote because they weren’t drafted, but men were, then women would still have to follow the laws made by men, that women had no say in.

So.

Following that logic. The father would have to abide by the rules set by the mother, which he had no say in.

Thus, the mother gives birth to the child, and she decides whether the father gets equal rights and responsibilities, regardless of what he personally wants. If she decides he shouldn’t have equal rights, then she also relieves him of any child support duties.

However! If she decides he should have equal rights and responsibilities, he has no choice otherwise. Even if he doesn’t want to, he still has to pay child support.

"But adoptive parents didn't give birth yet they still have equal rights!" I hear.

Well, they PAID to get access to the child, & did that after the mother willingly put the child up for adoption.

So, by that logic then, if the mother wants, the father has to pay to get equal rights over the child.

I mean, if a woman wants another woman to gestate and bear her child for her, and get rights over the product, then she has to pay $30,000 to the surrogate mother. If we are going by the whole "absolute blanket equality" that MRAs and egalitarians are trying to push, then why shouldn't men have to do the same? (Except it would be $15k for equal custody.)

So. Yeah. I personally believe that men should have equal parental rights but I, personally, am not being hypocritical, because I also don't think that women should have to sign up for the draft in order to have equal rights.

So why do you think that men are entitled to equal parental rights? It seems that MRAs want to have their cake and eat it too.
