I think it's both. I think women generally not only have way too high of standards, they feel entitled to be with someone who meets those high standards. Only a small percentage of men really get the attention of women for sure. With that said, some people just hate everything and can't get their head out of their ass.

The Internet/society doesn't even know what a real incels looks like. The image society have in their mind as an incels aren't even real incels lol. It's just what ever boogieman the legacy news pick up for the day, and websites like reddit echos, "that! That! Is a incels because I saw it on CNN!" It's like saying WWE is real wrestling without even knowing what real wrestling actually is.

Both? Single mothers and a female dominated education system fails to teach them how to be a man, and society punishes them for being one.

I never met an incel that was not just trying to hide their hurt and pain, or cover their own learned inability to socialise.

I admire those who can pull themselves out of that, but they should not be required to, us as a society have failed them every step of their lives.

Hard to not be a pessimist these day, but i think its a bit of both, women in general today are in a delusional phase while they are young until reality hit them, and incels just disillusion with reality so they stop trying which lower their chance further. The reality is we are not pretty, we often try to eliminate the undesirable and alienation is just the easiest way without many social downside, in this day and age where everybody is for themself why would a person wanted to invest with another seemingly taxing individual with no clear benefits in sight, and their attitude make it easy for people to do so.

I think it has to do with two things: Trauma, and Disconnection.

They're carrying a lot of things that happened to them at the hands of women who hurt them, and maybe not their mothers, but like a girl in school, or multiple girls, or they were mistreated or abused by a female caregiver like a teacher or someone in their parents' circle. And so now, when they get around women, instead of feeling attraction, the alarm bells go off in their bodies and their body says they're unsafe and need to run. They need to avoid female attention, they need to hide because they're shameful and it's women's fault.

The trauma and resentment causes them to disconnect from women. The shame makes them want to hide from other men all the horror that's hidden inside their hearts. Feminists tell him he's a sick animal and his sexuality is disgusting and he should be ashamed for being attracted to women or wanting to have sex with them. the girl he liked that he professed his love to and asked to be his girlfriend looked at him with disgust.

And why shouldn't they? All the shame foisted upon them by women told him he was worthless. That he's only good for a paycheck. That his needs are not important. That he is a disgusting creep for even having those needs... and then the ones who have a black-pilled message tell him in clear terms this is why, and there is no solution, and it's women's fault for doing all that to him. And now he has intellectually what he felt emotionally since he was a little boy.

And underneath the bitter exterior, that anger towards women is hiding a little boy who's scared to death, hates himself, and is sobbing to just make it all stop, because the women and girls that mattered to him told him that he was disgusting.

None of us can solve this online. We're just text on a screen. And these men desperately need connection. They need the men they know in real life, to hear them, connect to them, and directly oppose the messages they're hurting from. "That's not true, your sexuality is a great thing that empowers you to be a happy confident man. You're not disgusting, you're hurting." Someone who's burned over large portions of their body isn't disgusting, they're burned. Same with his soul. Same with his sexuality. Same with his heart. The more we connect to each other as men and love each other like brothers, including the incels, draw out, expose, and counter those self-hating narratives, and then put them in front of women who can say "I see you, you weren't safe then but you're safe now", the more they can heal.

If they heal from those traumas and start to understand that the stories they've told themselves are lies, they'll stop just lumping women together as a monolith of negativity and realize that they aren't entitled to women, it's better than that, they deserve a happy relationship with a woman who loves him for him. The alarms will stop ringing in their body, and that little boy will be able to dry his tears, see himself the way he should, and go run along and play, so the adult male former incel, can actually go up to a woman and say "hi, your eyes are mesmerizing and I felt the need to come talk to you, my name is..."

Think its the lack of male role models or not teaching them that romance isnt all that good.

Or maybe telling young boys “you shouldn’t do [etc]” too much that they dont care or stoo caring? I dont really have a great idea, i think everyones doomed though lol

I dont like to discredit womans struggles of their own because i’m not rly a girl myself, so I can only look at them through biased lenses

It's the Internet. We are connected through our smartphones and computers now. Most of our communication is online. The necessity to talk to esch other diminished. And most women find most men they don't know, unattractive. Hence: The modern incel was born.

I've always thought of incels as people who have drifted out of mainstream society and mainly could do with some mental health treatment. Depression seems to be an issue and I imagine being solely in an echo chamber doesn't help either.

It's a bit like looking at regular posters on 2X. You know that detoxifying from that echo chamber combined with mental health treatment would work wonders. You can see how they start and how innocuous starts get warped. Very much like incels.

It's in their perception of reality that both need help tbh.

I don't hate either.

I have empathy for incels however their philosophy to get into relationships is wrong. You shouldn't try to be nice, be rich, be successful, and etc to get someone to like you, which in case the woman. What most incels are doing is called a covert contract by doing something and expecting something in return. To get into a success relationship is to take care of yourself first by putting yourself first and be around people that already want to take care of you. Be with women that care about you, not the ones you care about because the one you care about will most likely not care about you. Neediness is overall unattractive to women. Confidence/ selfishness it is very attractive to women because as it shows you care about yourself and naturally you'll be assertive about taking care of your wants and needs to survive. Showing characteristic traits of survival is what women find attractive. You should be doing this anyways regardless if you get women or not as we are all living organisms. Human psychology is crazy but it works. Incel/ nice guys tend to be pushovers and people pleasers to get their needs met until they go overboard and shoot up at school.

In short: incels need to remember that they are human too and are responsible for taking care of themselves first. Nobody's obligated to take care of them or make them happy. it is their job to make themselves happy first regardless if they get into a relationship or not.
