I can understand women being ignorant of male biology, lord knows I've met plenty who were, but I'll never understand men...who presumably have had a penis their entire life, still insist that every erection is welcome and voluntary.

Like they never had a classroom boner, never had an awkward slow dance, never pitched a tent in a wet bathing suit at a pool, never had a 'nocturnal emission'.

but we know damn well every man DOES know and understand that it's not a voluntary reaction...so what exactly is the motivation when a man says "well, he obviously wanted it or he wouldn't have gotten hard".

Feminists can understand that when a vagina becomes wet during rape it's not because they enjoyed it. But they can't understand that when a penis becomes erect due to stimulation doesn't mean they enjoyed it

You're kind of preaching to the choir here but I can understand the frustrating because it is incredibly frustrating especially when you have idiots coming onto this very sub to try and argue the point.

I have a favourite weapon though that I researched and it's called terminal erections. For those who don't know what the hell it is, it is the biology behind men who end up getting erections while they're dead so that completely disproves the bullshit argument of "Oh well a man can get an erection only when he's aroused".

Another interesting thing I found out about on this very sub actually is there were people explaining to me that apparently when you have a man who has a spinal cord injury that can also end up triggering an erection. It's apparently one of the first things that medical staff check for because if I'm remembering this correctly it tells them whether or not they can move the person if they're injured.

A woman can experience arousal, lubrication, and even orgasm during a sexual assault. Some have had to grapple with this after the fact, reconciling the experience of orgasming to a violent crime.

Not even a question for me. A rape is still a rape, regardless what her genitals do during the act.

Obviously, the same goes for men. Should go for men, anyways. An erection is not consent. This isn't fucking rocket science.

Edit: Not trying to be snarky to OP, obviously we agree fully. This is just a frustration of mine directed at whomever happens along that thinks this kind of shit is okay.

Because already he's in a position where he doesn't have control over what she does to him. Then if he gets an erection it's like not even having control over his own body. In my experience, that complete powerlessness was the worst part of it

Yes, you ARE actually aroused. That arousal may not be willful. You may not want to be aroused. Its just like women who have orgasms during rape. They dont WANT to have orgasms, but their biological system which responds with arousal and finally orgasm does it anyway, in response to physical sensation.

You should be saying "arousal is not consent". Not "erection is not arousal".

The reason you'll lose this battle is because you're making a nonsensical claim.

If getting erect means arousal then the single most arousing thing to men and boys is presenting history in 4th grade in front of the whole class. Everybody seems to have a study of not wanting to go to front of the class because they had a stiffy.

I don't think that's actually how the justice system made that determination.

I believe it has to do with the difference between envelopment and penetration, but I am not well versed in U.S. law.... I'm sure it has nothing to do with what you're talking about though.

Reflexive erections, which are erections that doesn't involve sexual arousal. I used to get them all the time which lead to so much humiliation for me, like teachers pulling me aside to complain about it.

Eventually I learned a visualization that allowed me to get rid of a boner, so it's not a problem now.
