I think the "Save the Balls" campaign mentioned in the comments would work. Instead of promoting the disfiguration of male animals, why not promote the removal of female animals' ovaries? Spaying has more benefits than neutering and leads to less health problems too. There are more risks associated with neutering, and your also removing a visible part of the animal's body. A lot of cats and dogs that I've seen spayed were impossible to tell apart from their fully fertile counterparts.

Alternatively, you could take a fight-fire-with-fire route and start another campaign about ripping ovaries out from females. I would call this the "Fry the Egg" campaign.

The focus of the website is to call attention to the promotion of individuals and ideas that support harming men. We see too much humor surrounding the mutilation of male genitalia.

The bottom line is that this advert was done by a professional buisness. No way would a professional buisness make similar jokes about women, it wouldn't be allowed and any buisness who did as such would end up in really big trouble. Not only would feminists find it disgusting but lots of men would too and also any lawsuit against them would be seriously considered and most likely to be successful in a court of law.

I find it staggering that I can find posts here complaining about comedy adverts showing men as idiots on a routine basis but apparently its OK to have an advert making fun of male mutilation.

This sort of thing should be left to "controversial" comedians who get paid to make sick jokes and NOT a professional company trying to sell their services.

I actually liked AVfM, but now I simply cannot take it seriously anymore. When I looked at the article and the comments, I just couldn't help but think "Is this what I've become? Is this what I'm honestly supporting?".

Double standards should indeed be called out, but Heigl is not a bigot, nor is she an enemy to the MRM.

I will continue to support men's rights, and I will continue to be the out-spoken anti-feminist motherfucker that I am, but I won't be a part of the bitter asshole MRM brigade who have no understanding on the concept of satire.

And yes, I do not give 2 flying shits if the roles were reversed, because what feminists freak out about is not our problem.

If any of you dumbfucks from AVfM are reading, then no, this can not be compared to the fruit basket incident (which I was totally against) as the person in question was an actual bigot and not a bloody actress doing a comedy skit.

I'm going to make a comparison here with putting Ms. Heigel on register-her.com.

Most decent folks are in agreement that racial jokes are not funny...except for the ones that actually are. It's one thing to make a racial joke that is playing on the differences between two racial groups and pokes fun at those differences.

There is good-spirited humor and mean-spirited humor.

There are white comedians who can get away with dropping "N-bombs." They can because they get it. They understand that it has to be done in a way to make their point about racial differences and it has to be funny enough to take the sting out of it.

Then there's folks like Michael Richards...he obviously didn't get it.

Let's just call it as it is.

Whoever wrote that joke for Ms. Heigel fucked up and Ms. Heigel fucked up for telling it. That shit wasn't even close to being funny.

People get far too much mileage out of joking about male genital harm and mutilation. Kicking some guy in the nuts ain't funny and is different from a prat fall. A solid kick in the nuts can be as damaging as a sharp stick in the eye. But we as men have been conditioned into "being good sports" about shit that shouldn't be funny at all.

With that being said; do I think that Ms. Heigel genuinely supports male mutilation?

No, not in the least....

But she and her publicists need to be called to task for that remark. She needs to understand that it wasn't funny and by saying that, she is indulging in a harmful trend that is damaging to men in general and the perception of men in particular.

That is why I support her being listed on Register-her.com.

If she makes a sincere apology about this, then I believe that she should be taken off of the list or at the very least, a comment stating that "she gets it" be added to her listing.

But she needs to be called out for her support of misandry by making that remark.

Heigl’s “joke” included the word “yet”. This is an obvious nod to her awareness of increasing cultural acceptance of male-targeted violence and mutilation.

This is blue pill thinking. It’s what we’re here to destroy. The overwhelming condemnation of Heigl’s listing is proof that what we’re doing is right and necessary.

Not to mention, in previous listings, the people complaining about them and doing the hand-wringing were not US. If you can't differentiate between the rest of the world complaining and a majority of those here saying something is wrong, you've lost something.

I thought at most we would have a single entry some of us didn't like on the registry. But I feel I've lost more than that. The way you jumped back to your high and mighty pulpit at AVfM and decried that anyone who says different than you is not really an MRA, is just a Blue-Pill guy, sickens me.

This comment only got 2 up votes – but it implies a question nobody seems aware needs asking, and answering. Why is male targeted violence funny? Why is it, that if your wife, or girlfriend, or female co-worker decided to cut your penis off and throw it into the street; you be derided as a failed man, and she lionized as an empowered woman? Do you doubt this projected outcome?

Since that was in response to my comment, allow me to respond in kind. Obviously, violence of any sort, except in the form of immediate self-defense, is unacceptable. The gender does not matter. But a joke about violence, of really any sort, is always acceptable, for the simple reason that it is a mere joke. Look, I tell rape jokes all the time. So do many of my friends. None of us are going to go out and commit rape. Ever. Similarly, while I know no such individuals personally, I appreciate that there are some people, like Heigl, who feel inclined to make castration jokes. Unless she goes out actually castrates somebody, attempts to castrate somebody, or makes a clear and specific threat to castrate a particular person, she's not done anything that strikes me as being out of line. I didn't find her PSA funny, just as I'm sure many people don't find my rape jokes funny. But you know what? Other than a few people perpetually seeking to be victims, nobody gets upset about my jokes. So why should we be more upset by this?
