I got banned from a subreddit i loved because i was a member here.

They gave me the option to come back if i left this place and deleted all messages.

I declined.

If women watched women's sports and attended women's sporting events in the same numbers that men supported women's sports all women's sports would get the prime time slots. They want women to get equal pay without having to actually support them.

Imagine being a straight dude trying to run a make up tutorial page or knitting. It can be done but is anyone in here find get mad when the dude fails to earn what the women are because men aren't supporting him and neither are when?

It would be great if we found a lawyer who would challenge these practices by Reddit in some national court. I was banned from all of Reddit for 3 days, for "hate" over a comment on an article on female-only train cars in the Philippines, something like far it doesn't work for bathrooms as born men can and do get in there identifying as women and having their way. I was merely referencing facts. My call for review was ignored.

I think sports teams / players should all be paid out of a pool of money derived from the income generated by sponsor dollars / gate takings and TV broadcast rights.

If you can get good dollars based on your entertainment value (which is all commercial sport is) because for example, you hold the most popular sports tournament on the planet (FIFA MENS world cup) then good for you. If no one wants to watch you play your games (WNBL) then you might not get much in your pocket.

If they need to take money away from team owners for players well that's fine but taking away from a different competition to give to people who don't even play the same games is stupid

This was the case up until last year. Last year, the wnba finally turned a profit. The league had gone 30 years having to be subsidized by the nba. Caitlin clark is starting to bring fans in the doors and getting fans to watch on TV.

Im not sure how much they are complaining still or how much they are making now or if their deals even got increased. But i do know that this has been an ongoing talking point for at least 10 years.

The women want to be paid like the men, and they choose to see it as sexist that they are not. But instead of understanding that salaries are low because the wnba was having to pay players with nba money, the wnba players instead choose to compare themselves to the players whose talent generates billions.

I wish I could say something more comforting or supportive, but that’s all I got. Even if 99% of people are sane — or at least sane enough — that leaves six million crazy assholes on the internet to tell you you’re stupid for any reason or no reason.

it's known that reddit is misandrist and racist towards white people, it's not even a conspiracy theory, it's literally stated in their rules that you cannot discriminate against anything that's not male and or white, that's why male centered/white people centered subreddits get shut down because you HAVE to allow everyone to join and you cannot say anything bad about anyone else and also that's the reason why we have literal subreddits calling for male genocide or calling for white genocide that are allowed to exist.

that's also the reason why being proud of being male and/or white online is seen as being the devil and the holocaust guy combined, because these communities are not allowed to exist and so they become taboo subjects and they start attracting more and more extremists because why would someone be part of a community that's taboo. i've recently started logging out of almost every social media app that i've ever had and soon reddit will be gone too, it's too bad I have so many memories and things saved on this account.

Quite frankly, I think Reddit is more for free speech than most platforms.

You are all right in pointing to exceptions, but compared to German or Swiss media I am used to consume, Reddit is a land of remarkably free speech for man when it comes to pointing at double standards and open discrimination of men.

The actual reason why their salaries increased is because the team bargained collectively as a union, and because veiwership and attendance of WNBA gamesrecently skyrocketed.
