I don't know if this is the correct place to put this, but I need somewhere to vent. I was just now denied a job at a local McDonald's. I know, its McDonald's, but I'm 18 and badly need a job. What pisses me off, however, is the reason I was denied a job. It is because I am a man, and I have long hair. This particular McDonald's allows its female employees to have hair however long they like, but men have to have their hair shorter than shoulder-length. My hair was in a neat ponytail, and is clean, and I offered to wear a hairnet. However, the owner (a woman with hair not pulled back at all and past her own shoulders) told me it could not be allowed. I feel that this is wrong, and needed to vent.
