This argument is constantly brought up as an excuse by feminists and conservatives alike when every time the blatant sexism that male only conscription is brought up.

It has the be the dumbest argument ever, its like the equivalent of saying men should be forced into labor (slavery) because they are more capable workers, not because of their sex, or women should be forced to bear child because they are capable child giver, not because of their sex.

There are obvious fallacies here:

  1. Men is an umbrella term, not every men are capable, nor every women are incapable, if it was truly based on capability not sex, then male only conscription will even make less sense because even weaker and shorter men are still forced to be conscripted while larger women don't have to.
  2. Capability should never be an excuse for slavery or any other type of involuntary service, its the same mentality as saying rich people should be forced to donated their money because they are capable, doctor should be forced to treat you because they are capable, the dumb list could go on.
  3. Men on average being what they called "capable fighter" is the direct result of their chromosomes, which IS their sex! Its no less than women are "capable child giver" is also the result of their chromosomes, but women are never imposed any involuntary service due to them being "capable". These characteristics are not detachable to their chromosomes which defines the sex, neither does anyone born with these chromosomes have any choice.

If you take all the fallacies out of the way, what's left is blatant discrimination solely based on biological sex, which is by definition "sexism". It was never about "capability", it was always "gynocentrism" in disguise.

This excuse is no less idiotic than saying "Men should be conscripted because men started the war" or "women have to take care of the child" type of nonsense. Men could take care of child too, and collective guilt is stupid. They are basically using every excuse they could to justify their sexism against men.

Edit: There is another equality dumb argument which I call it war situation, which is this notion that "in time of war we need to put down all the ideas and just conscript all the males anyway for emergency measure"

Why its dumb? Simple: The end does not justify the means. Even in war situation, that does not change, or else what is the point of even defending your country from tyranny, if the very country you are defending are tyranny itself? A government that forced people into meat grinder is already tyranny by itself, on top of that they even do it selectively based on biological sex, is just adding sexism on top of tyranny, this kind government deserve to be destroyed.

War situation does not justify conscription, same as it does not justify slavery nor forced prostitution or rape, nor does it justify forced child birth for not having enough meat shields, nor does it justified robbing its citizen for provisions because it lacks supply. If everything else should not be justified in war and are consider war crimes, why does only the enslavement of men into meat grinder be justified?
