Like it or not, biological women in most cases are a liability on the battlefield. Also, ~~Truman~~ Eisenhower(and Trump after the test period between 2016 and 2019) restricted transsexuals' enlistment not because of some made up "phobia", but because of scientific papers showing significant tendency transsexuals have towards mental instability and suicidality, and as you may be aware with the shape some vets are in, the Army doesn't have time for mental health therapies. Needless to say, suicidal or mentally unstable people shouldn't have access to guns, let alone more advanced military equipment.

Now, with Biden's Army, this is changing yet again, sure, and we'll get to see the effects when the next conflict comes.

First, it shouldn’t matter what you are, what you’re born as, or how confused you are…there should not be any selective service. None.

Second, if there just has to be a selective service / draft, then it should be based on “what’s good for IS good for thee too”

Lastly, even when I enlisted in 2006, the system was still broken. I never registered when I turned 18 bc I knew I was going to enlist but I still got the “hey, you need to register” papers - after I came back from Iraq (I was then 21).

Apparently, this is going to change very soon. Women will have to register for the draft. Last I heard, the Supreme Court was waiting on hearing a case over this issue.

I find 4 and 5 somewhat amazing as well. Do they actually expect an illegal immigrant to fill this out and state that they're effectively here illegally? And, expect someone confined in a mental hospital to be able to fill this out?

Also, if a trans man did register as a man, even though at birth was a female, is that some kind of felony?

Every adult citizen should have to register for the draft, or no one should.

Either we believe the right to vote and to be considered a full part of society means you can be ordered, even against your will, to pick up a rifle and defend the country as part of the social contract

OR

We believe that drafts are abhorrent and the military should be based upon volunteers only.

Women have served very honorably for years, whether in combat positions or in support. If the opportunities for education and social promotion by serving in the military have been open to them as a group, the same responsibilities to be drafted against their will must be also.

It's hardly unusual. In Israel, Norway, and Bolivia (in emergencies) women are responsible to report for compulsory military service. In China, women are subject to compulsory service and I've spoken to some who served in the equivalent of National Guard service in the US.

Selective Service is simply pre-registering for this possibility.

I mean it's blatant transphobia, but in a way it protects trans men from having to register under such an inhumane policy.
