People are sheep.100,000 women went on a strike to protest against the gender pay gap recently in Iceland which also happens to be the most gender equal country in the world. Many economists have disproved the existence of the gender pay gap but we know how that turned out. A woman was awarded with the prestigious Nobel Prize on this topic but people still don’t listen. I just don’t care anymore. Women don’t respect men and men don’t respect themselves.

This article, 'The Campus Rape Myth', goes into the history and bogus statistics of said myth. As with basically any feminist study, the numbers have been manipulated bunkum since the beginning, and it has been pushed for a very long time.

If the one-in-four statistic is correct—it is sometimes modified to “one-in-five to one-in-four”—campus rape represents a crime wave of unprecedented proportions. No crime, much less one as serious as rape, has a victimization rate remotely approaching 20 or 25 percent, even over many years. The 2006 violent crime rate in Detroit, one of the most violent cities in America, was 2,400 murders, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults per 100,000 inhabitants—a rate of 2.4 percent. The one-in-four statistic would mean that every year, millions of young women graduate who have suffered the most terrifying assault, short of murder, that a woman can experience. Such a crime wave would require nothing less than a state of emergency—Take Back the Night rallies and 24-hour hotlines would hardly be adequate to counter this tsunami of sexual violence. Admissions policies letting in tens of thousands of vicious criminals would require a complete revision, perhaps banning boys entirely. The nation’s nearly 10 million female undergrads would need to take the most stringent safety precautions. Certainly, they would have to alter their sexual behavior radically to avoid falling prey to the rape epidemic.

None of this crisis response occurs, of course—because the crisis doesn’t exist. During the 1980s, feminist researchers committed to the rape-culture theory had discovered that asking women directly if they had been raped yielded disappointing results—very few women said that they had been. So Ms. commissioned University of Arizona public health professor Mary Koss to develop a different way of measuring the prevalence of rape. Rather than asking female students about rape per se, Koss asked them if they had experienced actions that she then classified as rape. Koss’s method produced the 25 percent rate, which Ms. then published.

Koss’s study had serious flaws. Her survey instrument was highly ambiguous, as University of California at Berkeley social-welfare professor Neil Gilbert has pointed out. But the most powerful refutation of Koss’s research came from her own subjects: 73 percent of the women whom she characterized as rape victims said that they hadn’t been raped. Further—though it is inconceivable that a raped woman would voluntarily have sex again with the fiend who attacked her—42 percent of Koss’s supposed victims had intercourse again with their alleged assailants.

You might recognise the name Mary (P.) Koss, who has served as an advisor to the CDC, the FBI, and Congress and is largely responsible for the severe legal bias regarding female-on-male rape and sexual violence in the US.

Well, this is the first time I've heard the term "rape attitude" used in such a manner (the link to the RWU page gives a 403 error so I can't get any more details on the context unfortunately). Therefore my starting question would be: what is the definition for this concept? Ah, who am I kidding. I already know what the definition is. It will be defined in such a broad and nebulous way as to apply to 100% of men if they needed it to. There's no need for me to do proper research and apply academic rigour to the question, given how predictable they are.

All of these studies have a desired end goal of "men bad, moral panic, instill fear, historic oppression!", and these ideologues and extremists fit their definitions and data to support that continuing narrative. They feel unsafe and imagine they are victims, so everything they discover has to support that perceived state of affairs. Just point and laugh at the stupidity and corruption, and do it as often and as loudly as you can.

I’m not sure that the DoJ report debunks the 1-in-4 claim per se because it uses a different definition of sexual assault and different methodology than surveys showing a higher number; for example, the NCVS “does not specifically ask about incidents in which the victim was unable to provide consent because of drug or alcohol consumption.”

While the article in The Federalist criticizes the one-in-five statistic coming from a 2007 survey for only including two universities, a 2019 survey by the Association of American Universities.pdf) of 33 schools found a number in the same order of magnitude: the percentage of female undergraduates who had received nonconsensual sexual contact was estimated at 25.9%.

I am not aware of where the "25% of male responders approve of rape attitudes" came from.

It was a "survey" done that asked complex questions that were answered on a scale, from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree" but marked on a binary, so they would mark say everything but strongly disagree as "yes".

Academia has backed this dishonesty for decades. The humanities have a culture of dishonesty. They are more interested in forwarding their hateful ideology than in truth.

Yes, rape is discouragingly common. However, one can make that point without lying and without demonizing men. Also, contrary to feminist lies, false rape is also shockingly common.

iirc the original question listed a variety of scenarios that they counted as sexual assault, and asked if you'd experienced any.

Something like, "Have you ever experienced unwanted touching/groping, unwanted sexual advances, or had sex after drinking alcohol"

The answer is gonna be yes for the last one, but they roped it in with the others to say right well that's sexual assault
