What I find frightening is that he seems uncapable of thinking about people in terms of individuals. He only refers to them as groups: men are bad, women are angry, etc.

He even says that there's nothing wrong with him personally, but then goes back generalizing groups of people.

I think one of the things that would help is to encourage him to stop seeing women as delicate goddesses and start seeing them as robust human beings.

Probably wouldn't hurt for him to do some martial arts either.

Perhaps one day this bloke will wake up to the fact that women are human too, and that whatever he's been taught about men is mostly secondhand rubbish (but may contain some truths).

A (sym)pathetic soul might wish him a gentle awakening: I hope he wakes up to the truth with a really startling event. Why? Let us not fall into doom and gloom just yet. Most of the time, men and women still get along just fine. In fact, many prominent MRA / liberty feminism advocates are women.

But while one-on-one relationships might work quite well, when asked to make generalisations, both men and women think more highly of women as a group than men. This is in part biological: women survived by picking men carefully as they depended on men for protection and provision; and men survived (read: made themselves attractive candidates for reproduction) by positioning themselves as superior to other men. So both have an evolutionary incentive to think badly about men as a group.

That biological programming is what has enabled human beings to survive as a species in the first place. It will not change easily just because we had a few generations of wealth and relative personal liberty. It also explains things like the empathy gap and the simple fact that, despite decades of research, we see little along the lines of, say, sympathy, let alone collective action, for male DV victims.
