There was once a time when it was highly frowned upon for women to wear men's clothes. Now, it's essentially a staple of relationships for the girl to wear the boy's clothes. we see it all the time; girls wearing sweatshirts and hats and general clothing from their boyfriend.

Yet, it's still taboo for men to wear ladies' clothing. Think about that. When you hear the term 'cross-dresser', you associate that with a male. Does anyone else never think of a woman when you think of cross-dressing? How do you even define a lady cross-dresser nowadays? No matter the sexual orientation of the male, eyebrows would be raised if a male went into public in clothes made for girls. But no one bats an eyelash at the reciprocal of that - girls in men's clothes.

As a straight male who does in fact enjoy wearing clothes intended for girls, I have been ashamed and utterly embarrassed of myself for most of my life because of my interests in it. I wear them for the reasons of emotional and physical comfort. I want to feel pretty and attractive, but men's clothes do not have the same variety as women's clothes. clothing for my gender is basically a tee-shirt and jeans, right? Girls have a huge variety to choose from. and it's all very pretty and unique. I want to feel pretty, and it makes me feel pretty. It makes me feel more myself, because I have always been more effeminate. But if i walked into work wearing a skirt or blouse, i'd get reprimanded. If I went out with friends, they'd bash me for it.

It's rather aggravating, how I don't have the same societal encouragement as girls and that I've had to hide it from people..friends and family. I would not even consider myself a cross-dresser, I believe I am just someone who enjoys being feminine and having feminine interests, but in the eyes of everyone else, I'm a strange person. I've come to terms with myself for the most part and am more open about it with myself and my SO, but I have to change for the public nearly all the time. anybody else get what i'm saying?
