Most beauty standards for both men and women are mostly pushed by feminist women, I have been told for pretty much my entire life how I'm supposed to look by women.

So it seems more like those standards are rooted in womens' sexual preferenes rather than anything else.

I’ve read that being hairless down there is a pedophilic thing. But at the same time, no one says anything when men shave off their abs to be hairless, like a teenage boy. And there are men who like hair down there and there are women who like hairy men, and then there are others who don’t, but only men get called pedophiles for that preference, I have not seen one comment saying hairless abs are pedophilic.

Broadly speaking, across evolutionary psychology and attractiveness research, men on average show the strongest physical attraction to women in roughly the early-to-mid 20s, and many traits commonly rated as attractive are associated with cues of fertility, health, youth, and reproductive maturity.

Additionally, sexually dimorphic traits tend to be perceived as attractive in the opposite direction by each sex. For example, men generally prefer women who are shorter, smaller-framed, more feminine in facial structure, higher-voiced, and who exhibit a lower waist-to-hip ratio than men. Women, by comparison, tend to prefer men who are taller, broader-shouldered, more muscular, and deeper-voiced.

It is true that adult women tend to display more neotenous facial features than men, including relatively larger-looking eyes, fuller lips, smaller noses, smaller chins and jaws, shorter lower faces, smoother skin, higher eyebrows, rounder cheeks, and less pronounced brow ridges. However, women also possess many traits men find attractive which are clearly not neotenous: breasts, wider hips and pelvis, sexually dimorphic fat distribution (hips, thighs, buttocks, breasts), hourglass body shape, and other adult secondary sexual characteristics associated with estrogen, sexual maturity, and fertility. You cannot isolate the neotenous traits while ignoring the rest and then use that incomplete picture to make broad social claims about male attraction.

This is the disease of blank slate theory that underpins feminist and other leftist ideologies. History has taught us one lesson again and again: You can not deconstruct human nature with cultural narratives. We aren't going to let men be shamed for their biological mating preferences by few cherry picked facts and a twisted misandrist narrative.

The claim they are making is no more coherent than me making the claim that women are toxic because they maintain more neotenous traits than men and therefore they contribute to a culture of predation and therefore female sexuality need to be "deconstructed". Not very coherent.

Also, it's absurd "physical fitness" is in their list. Just a bunch of rejected bitter women who are left over and aging out coming up with bizarre social theories. Sign of our times.

Females are the ones who set female beauty standards, not men. They’re always so fast to tell you they don’t dress that way for anyone but themselves.

And most guys I talk to prefer a much more natural looking woman than whatever most of them are doing to themselves now.

Also they’re quick to take advantage of their looks when they’re young and hot but then hate it when they get older. Same story as every generation.

Neoteny (hairlessness, smaller stature, bright eyes, lustrous hair) which is inordinately pronounced in Homo Sapiens relative to all other great apes is likely according to evolutionary psychology an adaptation that women gained for a survival advantage.

Theory being that the underlying male instinct to protect children was co-opted by women in order that they share that advantage over and above the amount of protectiveness felt towards one's mate and reproductive bottleneck.

My belief is that pedophilia is just another cross-wiring diversity between sexual interest and care about the young, similar to the cross-wiring of the biological attraction of opposite gender and sexual interest: they are aberrant mutations that have no major downsides to survival and thus persist in the population. Their percentages remain low because they don't contribute to greater survival and procreation.

Pedophilia is different to women being child-like and more emotionally connected in order to better communicate with children about pre-verbal needs. I believe they are 2 different things that are not connected.

We should also remember that biologically women are ripe for reproduction from the age of menarche (around 12yo) and their reproductive lifespans are short to coincide with amount of eggs, as is the reproductive peak for men around 30yo. Biology hasn't changed significantly over maybe hundreds of thousands of years, so it is no surprise that men are still sexually attracted to reproductive age women, who are only perceived as girls from an evolved cultural view, not a biological procreation view.

Pedophilia is sexual attraction to actual children, whilst the male predilection is to females of reproductive age: not the same thing at all.

I think these aspects appear correlated but are not causally related and are in fact different things.

Unlike homosexuality, which doesn't actually have a negative impact on society and should not be suppressed, pedophilia unfortunately does and needs to be managed in the best interests of pedophiles and their potential victims. Pedophiles are no more responsible for their pedophilia than homosexuals are for their same sex interest and should not be vilified for it in my opinion. They are because it elicits the same protective instinct over children as pedophiles are incorrectly wired for and that overrides reason. Society has finally managed to accept homosexuality and a live and let live approach and I'm hopeful we can do the same thing with pedophilia, but with a twist that we won't permit acting out their interests on actual children for the harm it will do, however beyond that I believe pedophiles also deserve to have a life expressing their unique sexuality, but managed in ways that prevent it being exercised on actual children. I believe this ridiculous idea that symbols of things are that thing needs to change, in the same way we jettisoned the idea that a camera captures the soul of a person as primitive superstition.

I also believe we don't do enough to recognise peoples innate characteristics at an early enough age so we can facilitate the beneficial ones and divert the others into programs to facilitate their best life in conjunction with also protecting society.

As for predation, that is a biological feature of the natural world and whilst we may not like it from an evolved cultural sense, it is understandable, especially as we are still very much part of that natural biological world that has changed little over the millennia. Males are biologically designed with a strong sex drive to impregnate females to perpetuate the species as nature intended for sexual reproduction. To call it predatory is a misnomer designed to elicit an emotional response of revulsion, when it is merely a feature of survival of the species via sexual reproduction. Females are biologically designed to create offspring using half the genetic material of sperm.

The fact that women don't like their own biology is not the fault of men. I don't think nature designed procreation through sexual reproduction for survival of the species with womens feelings in mind. In fact rape is commonplace in nature because it is driven by male sexual desire only and not concern for the female's feelings.

If humans now have more evolved sensibilities where we do consider the feelings of women, then surely we also need to consider the feelings and drives of men equally. Surely a woman not wanting sex is no more or less important than a man wanting sex and vice versa. That doesn't mean one has to dominate the other, but our evolved reason should be able to accommodate both in win-win outcomes. Sadly we don't do that: society doesn't facilitate male sex drive satisfaction in ways that also protect womens choice. Instead we facilitate womens choice at the expense of men in knee-jerk impulsive responses: that's a very lazy response that does not honour fundamental equality.
