UK prisons are purely misandrists : Male prisoners cannot refuse easily to be searched by a woman, male visitors can be searched naked but to search a female prisoner who attempted to escape you need special authorization.

  • ..every war is a war against women...

Wait, whut?

[–]Angryasfk 48 points49 points50 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

An earlier example of feminist self obsession. I love the way they kept on saying war and the military was some terrible male crime they’d abolish, whilst simultaneously demanding that women be put into combat roles and insisting they were every bit as good, and probably better, than the men!

[–]tenchineuro 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Indeed, I've been told many times that women were every bit as combat capable as men, then shortly after I learn how women and only women are victims of DV and something has to be done to protect these women.

[–]Angryasfk 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Indeed, a clear example of feminist doublethink! Women are “just as combat capable” but the predominant aggressor principle is right as only men have to strength to cause serious injury! If cornered they’ll mention some garbage about military technology and it all being push button nowadays etc. (showing their ignorance).

[–]tenchineuro 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If cornered they’ll mention some garbage about military technology and it all being push button nowadays etc.

Exactly, I've run across that many times.

It’s very feminist to live in a fantasy land and insist that real life laws and policies reflect it isn’t it.

This is an image that you often feminists often posted when the US Draft was the topic of at the Congress. It was used to prove that feminists cared for men, fought for them and are really champions of equality.

But as you can see the reality is far from it. First, this article/talk seems to be in response to the danger of women being drafted. Second, it is obvious that the care of men is minimal. Their real issue with the draft is that because we live in a "patriarchy", women don't owe to fight for it (= it is less acceptable to draft women). Third, they call the Draft, an institution which forces men and only men to be canon fodder, misogynist. Finally, they talk about wars, events that result moslty in suffering, pain and death for men and boys (both civillians and soldiers/draftees) as something that affect women more than men and boys.

It is also worth mentioning, that they only TALK against the Draft. They did not act against it. This was only for their image.

Edit 1 : In relation to my first point, do you remember all the people who suddenly became anti Draft last year when women being drafted was a possibility ? They are all awfuly silent now, aren't they ?

Edit 2 : Another point is that giving the massive size of the feminist movement, if the only thing they can come with to prove that feminist fought against the Draft is a random talk/article, it tells you a lot about how little they cared about this issue since this is the only lips service they did. You can find almost nothing about the WORD, this tell you how little and insignifiant they were lol.

Edit 3 : This is as if men made a group to tackle rape of women because it was an insult for the victims' husband and then said "see we care about women".

[–]Angryasfk 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dead right. We had one of those posting here the other day. Her excuse? Well it was MEN who made the draft! And Hilary’s squirmy justification for keeping it for men, and not women gets a pass because she was “in college during Vietnam”!

Feminists say they’re against men being drafted, but abolishing selective service is very VERY low on their list of priorities isn’t it, if it’s even something they’d even bother to think of. Well below “serious issues” like “mansplaining” and “manspreading”!

[–]tenchineuro 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is also worth mentioning, that they only TALK against the Draft. They did not act against it. This was only for their image.

There is one exception, when adding women to the draft is at issue, which happened under the Carter administration and recently. Then their opposition (to women being drafted) is fierce.

“Every war is a war against women” world war 2? The holocaust was about women? So the millions of children and men who died and were tortured to death doesn’t matter because women?

[–]camo_titanics_alt 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you kidding me? They single handedly claimed every single war ever fought and ever will be is against women. I just can't with this, so many people died in a war that didn't even involve them, and yet they're somehow the victim? I don't think women should be drafted simply because on average they aren't as strong as men, but they should have the choice to join. Burning a draft card is to spit in the face of everyone who suffered and died

[–]Morden013 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It didn't take her long to turn it into an attack on women.

[–]needs_grammarly 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

every war is against women? what? i thought they all were against old men who hate each other because one has something the other wants. then young men pay the price for their avarice

[–]Whitified 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Even if they say their against draft, they won't act on it.

Even if they acted on it, women won't be forced into combat positions.

Even if women were forced into combat positions, they won't be forced to the frontlines.

Even if they were forced to the frontlines, women can just get pregnant. And then what?

[–]sneedchuckfuck 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They love telling us how they're against the draft, but it stops there. Then they go on to bash "patriarchy" or some shit because they just can't ever admit that men have it bad too without blaming it on something "male-ish" in the process.

[–]Dalebreh 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And of course... Her name is Karen 🤣

[–]Algoresball 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This “no one should be drafted” argument is a total coup out. You can’t “end the draft”. You can end selective services but if America ever faced a truly existential threat, they’ll figure out a way to raise a draft army. National defense in times of crisis is something that falls to the citizenry Is it likely? No, but If we’re going to have the conversation we should have the conversation

Also the “women are the primary victims of war”’thing is absurd. But that’s to Hillary Clinton, we’ve all talked about this stupid argument

[–]pyrolover6666 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We don't need a draft. The draft is only for unpopular wars. If the homeland was actually endanger their will be increased enrollment. Just look at the high amount of enlistments after 9/11.

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly.. I live in a country where there is no draft.
But army jobs are one the most sought after.

And whenever war-like situation arises, you actually get more recruitment than peaceful times.

If you have to convince your citizens to fight for your country, you shouldn't be fighting that war to begin with...

But chances of draft being implemented in future is very low.
Not because they wont recruit. But manly because modern military equipment are too complex to be operated.

It takes years to train a fighter pilot for example.
There is no point in putting a novice draftee at the frontline.. It will be more harmful than useful.

[–]42nanaimobars 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There shouldn’t be a draft.

[–]Undidiridium_ 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

As a woman. I don't want to be drafted, the thought is terrifying. But at the same time, I'm sure any male my age is in the same boat.

So yes, we should be listed in the draft if we are truly wanting equality. And we should be tried and tested in the military as the same. Also how the hell does the patriarchy play into this? Joan of Arc fought and took command in battle. Like fuck off with that.

[–]SamaelET[S] 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

What they mean when they say war is patriarchal :

  1. Wars would not exist if women were the ones in power.

  2. Soldiers target civillian women and girls when it comes to massacres, tortures, executions, etc.

  3. The consequences of war (famine, economical crisis, health issues, etc.) primarly affect women.

  4. Since the very top of the social hierarchy (those declaring wars) are moslty men, male who are killed (both civillians, soldiers and draftees) are somehow lesser victims. Strenghtening the points 2 and 3.

None of these being true. In Afghanistan, civilians boys are more far more likely to be killed than civilians women. When Talibans attacks minorities, they only kill and torture men and boys.

[–]Al_Modir 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

War is not a “patriarchal institution”… this sort of drivel is the reason feminism is a useless ideology. War is a sometimes necessary evil in human societies.

[–]More_Firefighter6186 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hopefully if there is a draft it’s strength requirement instead of just men 🙏

[–]Razorbladekandyfan 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah this is the "anti draft" activists that want to liberate men apparently.... Do you see why i dont have faith they will actually achieve anything?

[–]SodyPops17 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

That was in 1982 dude. Lets stick to whats recent and relevant. That was literally 40 years ago.

Feminism is a completely different animal than it was 40 years ago. Everything is.

They also made it entirely about them (typical) by insinuating that war effects them more than it does the men that are going there and dying.

It's actually one of the most deluded things i've ever read. They literally basically just said "yeah its all about us. Its all about me. Everything is".

[–]Mycroft033 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think it’s valid to realize that the beginning and rise of feminism was not nearly as good as a lot of guys like to try and acknowledge. It’s a good reminder in my opinion. Feminism has never been about equality. It has always been about dominance, hatred, and supremacy.

[–]SodyPops17 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely.

[–]Sperm40mmSprintChamp 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminism never once cared about men being drafted until women were talked about being thrown in the mix. Then suddenly feminists care about men being drafted.

To these people, nothing is an issue unless it effects them as well, otherwise it's just the way it is.

[+]DworkinPill -19 points-18 points-17 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Feminism isn’t about women fitting into the status quo and society as it is. It’s about liberation. It’s not feminism to aspire to be the ceo of a company exploiting workers either.

[–]Whitified 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I thought it's about equality?

[–]DworkinPill -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Look at how feminism was talked about on the 60s 70s. Ot was called Women’s liberation. Men are always saying they created civilization. Why should it be our goal to find equality in that?

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes you are right.
Feminism wasn't about equality, ever.

That's why some feminists (Warren Farrel) decided to branch-off and founded the 'mens liberation movement'. (Not the subreddit. The original movement which you probably haven't even heard about-- the reason for that is below)

That's when feminists changed their colour and started calling it a 'gender equality' movement.
They moved-in, overtook mens liberation, (claiming that feminism is for men also), ousted the original founders and destroyed the movement to the point of irrelevance..

MRA developed as a response to that. And it only stays afloat because of its strong anti-feminist stance.
That's why feminists can't destroy it.
So they do next best thing-- call it misogynist, call MRAs terrorists, and cancel or censor them.

Now you saw the dark underbelly of feminism?
If you stick around, with open eyes, I'll show you even more..

[–]mcove97 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you're a feminist then the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes is what should be your goal.

feminism /ˈfɛmɪnɪz(ə)m/ Learn to pronounce noun the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes.

[–]DworkinPill -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nope.

[–]mcove97 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So you're not a feminist then?

[–]Whitified 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why should it be our goal to find equality in that?

Are you saying you're a feminist and you don't want equality...?

[–]Abstract_Knight -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well... at least she's against the draft.

That's something ig.

[–]Frosty-Gate-8094 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She is against draft only when they try to make it gender neutral..
As soon as they agree to leave it male-only, all these feminists will become silent.

They aren't against draft. They are only against women being drafted.
