Hey Men's Rights!!

I hope you all are having a wonderful day. Some of you might remember my last post concerning a project I was doing on a marginalized group (here). I chose to present on members of the Men's Rights Movement. Several of you asked for an update and many of you were curious about my grade.

It went much better than expected. I ended up with an A- on the presentation and many thoughtful comments. The teacher specifically wrote that hearing from individual MRAs about the struggles they personally face was enlightening. She said that data and theory can only go so far but appealing to emotion is a great way to win an argument. So thank you all who suggested certain bloggers and other publications by MRAs!!

Sadly, many of the students in class met my arguments with skepticism but I seem to have at least gotten through to my professor. Today in class she actually acknowledged the disadvantages men face when it comes to birth control and reproductive decisions (hurrah!). All in all she has been quite fair about this whole deal.

So thank you, Men's Rights, for being a great resource and helping me educate others about the MRM.
