who to vote for?

We need to stop voting for both left and right parties. My political ideas encompass both sides of the political spectrum.

Green or Libertarian or Independent. Screw the current Dems and GOP. If they start losing enough of the vote to the other parties maybe they will start helping people again.

I’m the same in the US and feel as though I am a man without a party.

I think both major parties are hijacked by extremist now, so finding moderates of any stripe is what I seek.

Both parties have very little support of men, but other than starting wars like the right, the left is worse. The right is not great in many ways too, though, but less explicitly anti male. Better on Title IX for instance.

The right seems better on this particular issue because they don't have the out-and-out misandry of the left, but they're full of tradcons who argue for male-only conscription, and support glorification of traditional gender roles that are tied to a lot of men's issues.

And then of course, there's the fact that in a lot of countries, the right wing has been going wayyyyyy off the deep end lately. In my country (America), I can't in good conscience vote for either side right now.

By the way, a common refrain is that we can pick and choose who we do/don't vote for because we're "privileged" to not fear systemic oppression. Putting aside the overused O-word, the current leader of my country (Joe Biden) was responsible for the policy that started the now decade-long denial of due process for accused men attending university. The left supports MGM on the grounds of religious freedom, and the right supports MGM on the grounds of "let me cut my baby's dick cuz fReEdOm." The right has participated in science and vaccine denial over COVID, which killed more than twice as many men as women.

I know we want to have an impact on the same level as feminism, but if we look at who makes up our government, we aren't anywhere close to that yet. Donate, help your fellow man, and continue having conversations. I've gotten messages from people days (or in a couple cases, months) after the fact, who either argued with me or silently absorbed an argument I was having with someone else. After reflecting, they realized that men's issues are legitimate.

Some day, maybe mainstream parties will actually advocate for men as a gender. Until then, vote based on other issues (women's rights, LGBT rights, foreign policy, etc., whatever makes you tick), or just don't vote. It's not like these politicians give a shit about us anyway.

It's called a False choice.

Like telling a child "Do you want to go to bed now, or in five minutes". The parent gives the appearance of a choice, despite the result being per-determined.

Modern voting is the same way. And it's not that your vote doesn't affect the result, they put in a lot of effort to show that it does and you can affect election results. They can't have you thinking you were powerless, after all.

The false choice is thinking either red or blue is going to do fuck all to affect the things you think they are. The governments will behave the same way regardless of who is in charge.

Look at what the diffrent candidates look to do and what they stand for and vote for whatever is more in line with what u want and ur beliefs

If you are in Buckinghamshire, UK, support the Family & Children Party. In Scotland, the Scottish Family Party. They are the only parties directly supporting most men's issues.

The right is not more "war mongering." Trump, for all of his bluster, was actually the first POTUS to not start a new war in 39 years. Also, he had Russia, NK, and China under control. The second he left Russia invades Ukraine and China is eyeing Taiwan.

Love or hate Trump... he was effective.

As far as prison goes... he did a lot to undo the damage Biden caused with his Drug Crimes Bill (nicknamed the Biden Drug Crimes Bill).

Crime has skyrocketed since Biden took over.

I don't know about the UK, but the right is significantly worse in the US. The democrats generally support gender neutral rape laws and gender equal conscription, both things the republicans oppose. On the other hand the two states that are best for equal parenting are the red states of Kentucky and Arizona, although they are outliers and I think the worst states are also red. I vote for the democrats if it's a close election and otherwise for the libertarians. I would never vote republican.

This is the issue. Everyone wanting to vote for the party or political identity instead of the person. Look at the candidates, read up on their record, find out about their beliefs and their actions. Voting for the party instead of the person is why we have such shitty politicians.
