My sister just had a baby, he's 10 months old, and after seeing how much time and effort it takes to raise him, I'd never raise a kid from another man, no matter if the mother would've dated me before having a kid or not.

The only question you have to ask is, "Does the fact she has children bother me?" There's no point in asking questions about the past you can't answer abd that don't really matter. If her children make you doubt her in some way and it bothers you, don't date her. If you don't want these children, don't date her. If it just makes you uncomfortable for some unknown reason, don't date her. If you think she'll add to your life, children included, then date her.

For me it just doesn’t seem right and partly what you’ve said might be the reason. A single mother, not she wants to have a relationship with me? Would she be interested in me before she had her first child? I’m not going to commit myself to some woman where I find out she has a child with another man. You’re relationship didn’t work out with him what are the chances it will with me? You two had a kid together and separated, and we don’t even have a kid together. Plus I don’t wanna raise someone else’s kid. You’re the one responsible for being that kid into the world you go raise it not me. Even if we say that the husband has passed away, I still wouldn’t commit to a single mother looking for a relationship again.

Lol, my mom was a single mom with adult kids when she met my dad. I will admit, my mom was very attractive - beauty and personality. My parents got married when my mom was 38 and my dad was 39

I don’t want kids so I wouldn’t commit to a single mother. They make fantastic casual partners though. I’m very introverted so it works out. They don’t have a lot of free time(more time to yourself) and when they do have it, they want to spend it on adult activities(it’s what is lacking in their day to day life). It’s great! Fellow men, unless she brings a ton to the table don’t commit to single mothers, there are too many fish in the sea.

If she had her kids young by mid thirties they are practically raised , by 40 fully grown . Maybe this is why so many Single moms are getting married now in days instead of being left behind like so many individuals like to insinuate. Their kids are not always toddlers.

People change for the better or worse and change preferences all the time, what matters is that she's into you now. It's unhealthy to fixate on someone else's past.

The second question you have to ask is "What do I gain out of it". Is she attractive and young? Or is she 30 and you'll be raising another man's kids?

If that's the first thing that you're concerned about for a long-term partner, you shouldn't be in the dating game
