This seems messy because you’re mixing social welfare to allow citizens to survive and grinding for success and not really differentiating the two.

Believing that people are entitled to food, clothes, shelter, and healthcare isn’t the same as believing that people are entitled to financial success. Relationships just aren’t on the same level as basic life necessities.

Plenty of people do believe that people, poor or otherwise, should be provided survival basics or the means to access such, and many countries do in fact provision them to varying degrees

No, because money is something that's needed to achieve a certain standard of living and be treated with a basic level of dignity and respect. We can give everyone a basic level of economic resources, but we can't give everyone the sex and relationships they want. Although I wouldn't say that a lack of dating success is nevessarily anyone's fault either, I'd certainly say they aren't entitled to anything in the same way we're entitled to certain other resources.

Poor people who do not have the resources to take care of their children, who therefore start life on the back foot and end up being a drain on society is wrong in all respects. Hence a cycle of poverty that must be stopped.

Romance and finance are not comparable with each other. Billionaires specifically do not gain that amount of wealth and status from hard work alone, no one can do that. They get it for either inheritance or exploitation. The poor while some end up that way through personal choices, most are poor due to external circumstances beyond their control. These people don't have the bare minimum of what they need to survive, while billionaires have more than what they can spend in their own lifetime. I don't think that's fair.

Love on the other hand, is not needed to survive. It's something nice to experience, but you don't need it like we need money, food, and shelter.

Sex isn't income. Sex isn't welfare. Sex isn't in Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Sex isn't a need. I won't compare sexlessness to homelessness or financial poverty. But also, if we paid any mind to your statement we'd have to think about "poor mentality" A lot of people ARE poor because of the mindset and lack of understanding about how to properly treat money (yes I know America is a garbage pit and this doesn't properly apply to Americans really because your country is wack) So, yeah if we use your line of thinking - a lot people are without sex due to mentality - a lot of people are moneyless due to their mentality. If we treated sexless how we treat poorness then would it be okay? Lol yes because poor people are spouted that statement all of the time "you're POOR because your brain sucks" it's not an unheard statement. It's a very common statement and in a lot of cases there's science to back it up.

Welfare is needed if you want a country that isn't a third world country. In my country those on welfare pay tax too and we use welfare as a safety net. There's no such thing as sex welfare and safety nets because it is not a nee Quick edit to add: in my country financial support from the government is literally called "entitlements" so yeah, we are entitled to financial assistance where I live if we meet a certain criteria

Probably not. Two separate topics.

First of all, I don’t think anyone is entitled to sex. I don’t know who the guy is so I can’t be sure that his personality is not so good. Everyone can probably work on themselves to improve in some shape or form. Self-improvement is good. Without knowing the person, I’m not sure that lowering his standards is necessary. If the guy wants to marry a 6’ tall woman with red hair and green eyes, he’s probably out of luck. We shouldn’t lower our standards too much though.

I’m a Canadian who usually votes for the Conservative Party of Canada (finance reasons), but is probably voting NDP for the next election because the Conservative party is adopting American Republican stances and the leaders aren’t great. I’m also bitter with the federal Liberal Party right now for implementing certain fishing regulations.

I live in Canada. Canadians take pride in “free” (it’s paid for by taxes - nothing is free) healthcare. I’m fine with Canada’s current educational practices.

That can happen. It’s more complex than that though. With the opioid crisis, there’s a lot of sad stories. Also, a lot of people can’t take care of themselves. I think we should take care of those who can’t take care of themselves. Long ago, a lot of these people were hidden away in institutions. However, people decided that institutions were bad (after all, a lot of bad practices did take place) and instead of reforming them, got rid of them. There was a recent story on the news where a daughter had been pleading for her father to be taken care of in an institution of sorts. The father ended up doing something bad because there was nothing in place to care of him. Wow. There was an old Alberta premier who provided welfare recipients with free one-way bus tickets to British Columbia. Wow.

I support a variety of assistance for sexually unsuccessful people to survive at a basic level and have options to better themselves much as I support a variety of assistance for economically unsuccessful people to survive at a basic level and have options to better themselves.

I am in favour of... Basic income supports Basic healthcare supports Basic housing supports when the free market system is failing to provide. A solid free educational system

For the romantically unsuccessful... All of the above in case the problem is being made worse by lack of financial success Support to exercise and be fit in ways that contribute to attractiveness...be that walking/jogging trails, outdoor exercise and sports equipment in parks, public education about the importance of health and fitness or whatever other similar options can be offered. Provision of community events and organisations that enable people to meet each other in safe environments and provide cheap.or free date opportunities...for example free classes in all sorts of hobbies at the local community centre, events like firework displays on certain holidays. The legal availability of porn and erotica within reasonable limitations. Greater amounts of affordable housing for young people so they can have necessary privacy and independence to develop in their early twenties including the necessary privacy to manage their own masturbation in true privacy not only to manage their own dating. Solid law enforcement to remove the abusive and violent from the community so that people may go about their mate finding in safer ways, less likely to get beaten up at a bar or raped on a date. Good public transport that caters to people looking to socialise not only to those who commute for work.

No, because many of the men at least have some aspects of being unsuccessful that are within their control. Climbing out of poverty is a much, much more difficult task, in some cases impossible. In the US, our priorities are so perverted that it would take hours upon hours to identify all of the issues. The very wealthy are near the very top of the list of issues.

Poverty has more dire consequences than being ugly and unfuckable so the gravity of each isn’t the same. But either way if the poor person had no hope of improving their situation or no desire to I would encourage them to make due with what they have and optimize their life based on what they can currently provide for themselves. If they’re lacking food, clean water etc I’d donate that to them.
