Since a hot topic of the moment appears to be fidelity, let's discuss the causes of it.

A common trope is, "men cheat b/c they can." Why is that, that they can? It's b/c a lot of women actively try or give men the option of themselves if the men are in a relationship.

Most men aren't used to women actively pursuing them, or flirting with them first. He likely had to make the first move, and work for every woman he has slept with, including is gf or wife. Until he gets her. Then women start coming out of ye ol' woodworks to present themselves to him. He now has options, b/c women gave them to him.

Now let's look at why women cheat. Ask any man who has slept with a married or attached woman, and he will most likely tell you that she gave a list of reasons, or one really big one.

I know, I know, "Yeah, people justifying their shitty actions by blaming somebody else. Other news at 11." That doesn't change that there's reasons she has that she can point a finger at, or make the subject of her argument.

I will admit that the majority of the time I have ended up at least halfway blaming the man as at fault when his woman cheated, once I heard the story. Granted she should have just left, and not cheated, but I still didn't see him as innocent or not having a hand in it happening.

So it appears to me that the majority of infidelity may be externally influenced, but please discuss!

*InB4: "Quit trying to justify your cheating you cheater!" I have only ever cheated on one girl, and I was 17 at the most, if that.

Also if the roles were reversed, I could claim I was sexually assaulted - if I wanted to play that card. I don't, I admit my wrong in taking part. I've been the guy on the side multiple times though.
