Traditional Societies where they shame only female promiscuity is good for the society. Terrible for the individual. Women shape the men of a society.

If being a bad boy who challenge authority gets women. Men will become bad boys who challenge authority. If being a hard working, moral and accomplished member of society gets women. Then that is what men will become.

In the west bad boys who challenge authority are in. Not the best for an efficient society. But at the same time I'm an individual rights kind of guy so fuck society.

I think "the pill" is the main thing that facilitated the inequality. Before birth control I would guess that women had to take more consideration into who they had sex with. A long term prospect held more weight. Plus, for a guy the price of sex used to be commitment on the level of marriage. Now the price is merely being "at least 6ft tall", being in decent shape, and maybe a few tattoos.

On top of that, modern feminism says "bang whoever you want, as much as you want, no judgement, girl power, etc.".

I think these are the two main things that encourage the CC.

In most East Asian societies boyfriends and girlfriends are having sex using birth control. They aren’t waiting until marriage. I think that your premise is flawed.

Like in the west, the sexual divide is between those men who are successful with women, whether being able to have casual sex (rarer in the east) or sex with a girlfriend, and those men who aren’t able to be successful with women.

Everything is a double edged sword. I just feel like traditionalist beliefs can hurt a lot more people than a society with more freedom. Want to wait and get married? Cool. Are you part of the LBGTQ+ community but just want to live your life and live who you love? Well cool (of course there are going to be bigots but it’s better in the west than most other places.) want to explore your sexuality and be promiscuous? Cool.

Just giving people freedom to do what they want for me is the way. Do what you want as long as you’re not harming anyone and everything is consensual.

Go to Utah and ask how many married women orgasm from sex with their husbands. Go do the same in the Bible Belt. I don’t know for sure so I’m just talking shit but I’m a gambler so I’m willing to bet the orgasm gap in those places are probably the widest in the country

Sure everybody may end up with a husband or wife based on the cultural norms to go about dating and life that way, but if the sex is miserable are these types of societies even worth it?

It all boils down to what you personally believe in and your values honestly but well all don’t have to overwhelmingly go about everything the same way so theres room for everybody to exists and like you say OP, that’s kinda what we already see existing now

As the Economist claimed, the Pill is the most influential invention of the 20th century. It completely shifts the power in the gender dynamic to a point where women have the dominant say in the direction of society and we already see the results in progressive nations where the dating game has become a free market; Promiscuity, serial monogamy, and even polygamy come with next to 0 social consequences. As with any free market, you’ll also find all of the standard “pull yourself up by the bootstaps” rhetoric where mediocrity is due to personal failure. Even trying to discuss these issues in the public eye is immediately met with accusations of inceldom, which is a social death sentence. Those who benefit would prefer to maintain the status quo.

You’ll always see talking points parroted like patriarchy, toxic masculinity, % of male billionaires, wage gap, % of male politicians - all meant to gaslight the underclass into thinking the game is fair and you just suck as if the successes of a few cherrypicked individuals has any bearing on the rest. Remain docile, be a worker slave. Ignore that your eyes don’t see women working the coal mines, you don’t see them committing violent theft and crime, they aren’t drafted for front line roles, not nearly as many women choose to work 80 hours a week, or otherwise put themselves in harms way to gain money and power. Women are not homeless or successfully suicidal at nearly the same rates as men. All of these life and death matters are brushed off as personal failures, to keep low status males in line because in the back of everyone’s mind is recognition that a massive swathe of the population with low status, no family, no prospects and with nothing to lose but their chains is dangerous and unstable.

In America, even if you're non-religious, it's still taboo to be promiscuous. It's definitely more relaxed here than in China/Japan, but I don't think it's tied to religion/culture.
