In real life and on the Internet, I have seen that when women see that a male is physically underdeveloped (baby face, narrow shoulders, lack of body hair) and therefore looks childish, they tend to interact with him like he does not have a sex drive like other guys his age.

Women look at such males and just impose infatilizing/desexualizing assumptions on them - 'he is so harmless', 'he must just play video games all day', 'don't worry about him, he can't flirt with girls'

What's worse, TV and movies often reinforce these stereotypes when a childish looking actor plays the ''comic relief/ joke' character who is just 'different' and exempt from romantic plotlines (or given a plotline that is silly).

The problem is that some males can be childish looking and have a potent sex drive. They are however infatilized and assumed to be asexual/harmless from the start. This blocks them from expressing their sex drive socially and can lead to feelings of shame/invalidation which lead to a pretty dark place.

What do you think?
