A "unicorn" is an ideal. The whole point of calling them unicorns is that they don't exist.

That being said, I know some who came pretty close. One of my best friend's ex's is a close one.

Came from overseas and lived by herself throughout high school.
Supported herself through college through work and scholarships while getting good grades.
Connected me to my first job in college when she found out that I was a shameful peasant.
After graduating, she landed a decent job, and ended up with a six figure income shortly and brought her parents over to the US. She supported her family.
She married an investment banker.

A real rags-to-riches story build on a lot of her own effort.

Some of her behaviours seem stereotypical. She dated my friend who appeared alpha, and later settled for the beta investment banker. But it was my friend who dumped her and she was loyal and even willing to support him. She was a serial monogamist, mainly because guys (other than my friend) kept chasing her. She had maybe 3-5 LTRs. The guys who chased her were loaded elites in Ivy West universities like Cal, Stanford, Caltech, etc while my friend was an uninspired pleb. (But that being said, he looked like a model.) She gimped herself with her loyalty. She could have taken advantage of some of the loaded guys who were gunning for her and made it a lot easier for herself.

Another trp stereotype is that she married late, but that has to do with how long she stuck around for my friend. It also had to do with how long she was in the relationship with the investment banker after my friend broke it off with her.

Yeah, i dated one once. I knew i would never have a gf like that again, but i cheated in her and dumped her anyways.

Of course. Actually I know around five or six "Unicorns" and I'm marrying one of them. IMO AWALT is... Misleading.

Most women I know come closer to the description of a 'unicorn' than the 'Awalt' descriptions of TRP. Of course they have some negative traits... Everyone does. None of them quite as extreme as TRP suggests though.

Yes, quite a few, many are married or in relationships. I've come across a few women as described in trp, but they're in the minority, and not the kind of people within my social circle. If that's all they encounter, I can't completely blame them for their world view.

Outside of ones in relationships no- not at all. There are likely a few women that are able to overcome their natures alone but I've never met one. Within a relationship it's up to the man to encourage positive behaviors and discourage negative ones. If he maintains this then you'll find women that appear to be unicorns. Unicorns aren't born- they are cultivated.

Nope. I've worked with the public most of my life. I've met and built relationships with countless women. There are no unicorns, male or female.

Actually, I have friends who are first-generation Americans (their parents are Asian immigrants) who come close.

The MAIN CHARACTERISTIC I see in this one girl is COMMUNICATION. Holy fuck, she communicates her feelings clearly and in a mature fashion. She shows vulnerability and I HIGHLY ADMIRE that. Any girl who can say, "I feel angry/sad, because..." is pretty amazing.

I respect her immensely, yet she still wanted to sleep with me while being in an open relationship with her boyfriend.

Girl 2: With platonic friends, she has boundaries, and stands her ground. With her boyfriend, she is submissive, and literally has said, "I cannot be trusted with power. Tee hee." She knows what she wants, "I want to marry a guy with money" and has asked me about my hourly wage/salary repeatedly, between different jobs. What amazes me is her SELF RESTRAINT, she LET'S YOU KNOW if she's into you, your flaws, and let's you know if she's not, sometimes too bluntly.

That being said, she is totally subjective to "dread game". Her bf is shorter than her, but he walks around with girls greeting him.

Yet, she once said "would you guys think badly of me if I cheated on [my boyfriend]?" (I guess I take off a few points from the self restraint part, though she hasn't cheated, yet, or that I know of)

I would gladly marry either of these women. They're not unicorns, but compared to others out there who play mind games, they come close.

I used to think every girl I ran into was a unicorn. Used to think to myself "damn, she can be a bit annoying sometimes, but I would wife that". I thought this despite the way they behaved, the way they hooked up with random guys and the way that they would talk to me when they needed a favour but would drop me the second it was completed.

But then I took a step back and realised I was projecting what I wanted onto the chick. They were none of the things I thought she was. There were no unicorns.

Actually though, I saw one in a book once. Had a silver horn and everything!

Been with my SO for over 5 years now. We have a special dynamic that I don't see often.

We work in a kitchen, 8 hours a day in blinding heat and suffocating smoke and oil. Shit fucking sucks, but itd suck a helluva lot more if we didn't have each other.

For 4 years we've been a team, everything we do, we do together. IF I were to describe my girlfriend (soon to be fiance) it'd be much closer to a wingman at my back than a love interest.

At work, we don't have time for our relationship, job has to get done. We cuddle and kiss and whatever at home and on dates and etc etc, but at work all that gets set aside while we kick fucking ass together. There's a special kind of bond you form with someone in the kitchen.

I remember the day we tried to apply to a new kitchen, and they were dubious at first about having a bf/gf pair on their team, but they gave us a chance. One shift in and all concern was gone. We reached that sweet point where we barely even talk to each other while working, I generally run frypan and she runs ovens and sauce. Between the two of us we smash service out like fucking nothing. Neither of us is in charge of the other, neither of us leads, we're just in synch and do everything at the same time.

This kind of connection and team work didn't come naturally. It took years of stepping on each others toes to master, and we can still go much further.

But I would never consider either of us in charge of the other. When she comes home I look up at her and we both know we both want to run over to the convenience store to get a snack, so we both get up and go.

I don't think this is her being a 'unicorn', because god knows when we were kids we were everything TRP and BP expected us to be.

But through years of blood sweat and tears we became something so much better. We don't compete, and we sure as hell don't dominate each other.

We're too fucking busy dominating everyone else around us as a team.

In southern Mexico I've met women who are great wives.... but somehow I don't think that these are unicorns in that there's a running joke about a lot of them becoming "Americanized" when faced with the double whammy of going to the US and having a "weak" husband.

Unicorns are made not born. That story about the cartel man bringing his family to the US and then shipping them back, true or not certainly has elements of truth in it.

You give one spouse the power of feminazism, and a vicious circle of "Americanized" or Anglo "girlfriends", you're going to get a change. It's not going to be pretty and you're going to be powerless to watch as the degeneracy spreads to your kids.

Once knew this social autist girl who was an engineering major.... granted she wasn't "marriage material" and she certainly wasn't pretty.... but she didn't exhibit a lot of traits we associate with women.
