I don’t think there’s anything too complicated in it! I think it’s a response said so that you have the option to continue the conversation with “oh cool, I like that show too” or “I’ve never seen that show, is it good?”

If you have a good profile that shows you from all angles , physically, career, and socially, they probably are interested, and they just want you to match that level of value that they saw when they matched.

If you have a bad profile that makes you look like most guys, you need to make yourself stand out. If you don’t stand out, women are probably just swiping right out of boredom, wanting to be praised and pampered, and really are just doing the equivalent of fiddling with their thumbs. If you surprise them somehow, bingo, but they’re probably not into you. Most guys don’t have successful and cool friends that they do things with, AND appear smart and fit, and appear to have a good job. If you have all of these covered, chances are you wouldn’t be on this subreddit asking for advice on this topic.

I don’t have all those bases covered either so don’t take it as an insult.
