Based on the community response to this post, the PPD mod team has developed some new guidelines for posting. What these new guidelines amount to is an effort to crack down on low effort posting.

No posts that contain links to articles, videos, podcasts, etc. without text sufficient to explain the material.

This is pretty self-explanatory. It's much easier for everyone if posters put in a little effort and add text explaining what they are linking to. The mod team will remove these posts, and ask the OP to add an explanation so it can be reapproved.

Edit: The Phrase "text sufficient to explain the material" means that people need to provide enough exposition to fully explain the point of view of what they are linking to (nuances included). A 1-2 sentence TLDR is not enough.

This can be done by pulling quotes from the material, or the OP can summarize/explain in their own words.

No long, terribly formatted rants/blocks of text with no spaces.

Although these are less common, no one wants to struggle through them. Like the above, we will ask the OP to edit/add appropriate formatting.

Posts that address an issue that has been addressed within the last week, and offer no new perspective, arguments, content, a connection to current events, etc. will be removed.

What we're trying to prevent here, is having multiple, generic threads like Does TRP Really Believe AWALT? within days of each other.

And a number of people suggested in my earlier post that this rule would be improved by adding a timeframe. We choose a week because we think that timeframe is optimal for both enforcement and not stifling discussion by new users.

This rule is new territory for PPD, so it may need to be modified depending on the impact it has.

No "Woe Is Me" posts about race

Recently there has been an influx of race-baiting trolls around here. Any post that amounts to whining about being a Indian man/black woman/white man/whatever will be removed. This includes threads characterizing and/or implying that white men are cucks and black men are bulls.

PPD is not the sub to discuss this stuff, and just because both /r/TheBluePill and /r/TheRedPill won't allow those threads, doesn't mean you should post them here.

Conclusion/TLDR

  1. No low effort posts (first 3 guidelines)
  2. No race-baiting (4th guideline)
  3. Titles should be as neutral as possible (pre-existing rule)
  4. Questions Internal to RP or BP should go on those subreddits (pre-existing rule)
