Besides just for the pleasure, has anyone ever engaged in hook up culture due to the lack of meaningful relationships they’ve had with the opposite gender? Like the thought process of “Ive had several bad relationships, I cant understand the other gender or they cant understand me, why even bother continuing to grasp for a relationship, if I can get intimacy without being intimate from strangers”. You can still have your moral or medical oppositions to hook up culture, but would it be a somewhat normalized thing still if our culture wasn’t so atomized.
