As the other thread is focusing on the specifics of an analogy and I'm just as puzzled by the issue as Atlas, I'll try to formulate it somewhat differently.

Isn't one of the main tenets of TRP and the manosphere that they reject poststructuralist ideas? Equivalently, women and men are fundamentally different. Then it immediately follows that you can never just change genders in any discussion ever.

No man can know what it's like to have a women's sex drive and attraction mechanisms. Is that not the point why they made TRP? So that they figure out how it works in theory?

In total, (and this is a philosophical issue) if you say there are genetic differences between people, then it would be extremely unlikely that two people experience the world in the exact same way. Therefore, you can't compare them without taking this into account.

Edit: To make this clearer: What I'm challenging is the blank state notion that we can just interchange the genders in stories to gain some sort of insight. I would expect this from SJW types, but for some reason I mostly see it from RP men and MRAs.
