Except no one ever claimed that all RP men are like that except you. They are the first to admit they are usually average guys, not the worst, not the best, but receivers of the tail end of female hypergamy and watching the women they cared about leave them for a "Chad."

[–]atlantic6984 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

often the worst. theyve been cheated on lied to told they have small cocks. trpers are men with a bone to pick with women. mostly because of a lack of success previous

[–]disposable_pants0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

theyve been cheated on lied to told they have small cocks

They've had bad things happen to them and that somehow makes them bad? Is it wrong to want to avoid making the same mistake again?

We're fathers, firefighters, pilots, drivers, teachers, engineers, students, bankers, and entrepreneurs who are tall, skinny, fit, fat, good-looking, ugly, old, young, happy, angry, sad, depressed, and everything in between.

And we've all been affected by the changing environment.

From /u/redpillschool in one of his posts.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (63 children) | Copy Link

I could be totally wrong, but any time a guy on this sub who is RP says anything personal about himself, he may admit to once being overweight or poor or something, but his current attitude about himself is that he's in the top 10% of attractive men and could get anyone. Usually claims to be fit, handsome, look way younger than his age, and make 6+ figures.

[–]fiat_lux_Red Pillar6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

The confident ones are more likely to pipe up.

But even that being the case, I've seen enough deprecating or humble self reports. Just not enough to satisfy the average bper's need to look down on rpers.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Out of curiosity, how do you feel about women on this sub (or other subs for that matter) who say they are an 8-9 in attractiveness, or very intelligent, or something else to that extent? Do you believe them?

[–]fiat_lux_Red Pillar7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

To a degree. If they say they are 8-9, I'd assume they are at least above average.

On the matter of intelligence, I can just read what they write and come to my own conclusions.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

So if a red piller guy says he's an 8-9 on attractiveness, you'd also conclude he was at least above average? Or would you think he was just definitely an 8-9?

[–]fiat_lux_Red Pillar4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That depends on the scale. It sounds like you're using a linear scale. I don't.

I use the fiat-drok scale for measuring physical attractiveness. It's designed to be objective. Unless you're within the top 0.1% of people, you're not going to be an 8.

I'd conclude, "He's prob above average, but he's unlikely to be 8-9 using my own scale."

For something like "6 figure salary", I'd be much more likely to believe the accuracy, because it's just a scalar. It requires no subjectivity, just honesty.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Okay, fair enough. I think 8s are more common than 0.1% of people, but I guess it also depends on age. Men around my age (20-35)...I consider maybe 10% of them 8+. But I probably wouldn't consider any men over 50 to be 8s, minus movie stars. I assume my taste will change as I get older.

[–]fiat_lux_Red Pillar4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Again, that depends on your scale. It sounds like you use a linear scale. Mine uses a normalized distribution. Each point away from 5 is one standard deviation.

3 standard deviations from the middle (5) is 8, and it's less than 0.3% of the population. Take half of that, because we're not looking at 2s and under, just 8s and above, and you end up with something close to 0.1%.

My scale is better, because it's not about what I personally use for myself. For personal use, my scale is ternary. "Yes"/"No"/"Maybe". That's it.

The purpose of the 10 pt scale is for purposes of communication with others when you have limited reference point.

"Heard you got a date for next weekend. I haven't seen her yet. What's she like?"

"Dude, I scored a date with a 7!"

"Oh shit, that's like a whole league above your ex in looks!"

When relating to others, people tend to use logarithmic scales when lacking references. Look at primitive tribes who weren't exposed to our decimal number system. The way they count is often logarithmic. "One", "a couple or a few", "A handful", and then "a shit load". That's how they think.

That's how most of us think when we're doing rough estimates.

But I probably wouldn't consider any men over 50 to be 8s, minus movie stars. I assume my taste will change as I get older.

Yeah. Maybe. Women are more likely to have contextual/personal tastes.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I use mine for personal use because I don't tend to talk to other people about their partners in that way. The only reason I even bother rating people is because I like to figure out where I stand on the scale (I'm married, so I care less now than I used to as long as I match my husband) so by evaluating how hot I think X person is who has committed to me, I can better gauge how hot I am.

I don't blame you for using a different scale because you have a different use for it, but nothing is "better."

Also, I think people in my area are generally hotter than most people in the US. If I walk into a cowtown where most people are overweight, it's rare I see someone who is even a 6.

[–]fiat_lux_2 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Ah, I see. So linear scales would work well for you (they're analogous to percentiles judgments). I think our scale would work for that purpose too, but I understand that yours is a different personal use and not to communicate.

I don't blame you for using a different scale because you have a different use for it, but nothing is "better."

Sure, buttlollipop. All scales are equal, but some scales are more equal than others.

I'd rate the fiat-drok scale of physical attractiveness a solid 10 on the fiat 10 pt scale of scales.

[–]Rufus_Reddit2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's very difficult for people to be objective about themselves. Meanwhile the the 1-10 beauty scale and the notion of intelligence are both somewhat subjective and ill-defined. Claims like that aren't necessarily false, but they're not particularly credible.

"In god we trust. Everyone else has to bring data." -- Edward Demming

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have a hard time with it myself too. I just go by who has agreed to commit to me (not people who have just wanted to sleep with me, that means nothing). The few times I've considered that I may be above average in attractiveness on this sub I was told I was delusional and/or lying. I didn't even claim to be that good looking, just better than average.

[–]trp_zzz 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe looks more than brains.

The last time that blue pill subreddit posted pictures of themselves the results were interesting. Males were a split between stick thin androgynes and lardy neckbeards, with maybe one decent dude. As expected. Women were heavily skewed towards neon haired, above average women, again as expected, since fatass women aren't going to be posting too many pictures. There was a strong minority of fat chicks.

Plus, hot women are more likely to be out of touch with the realities of the SMP. Like, just be yourself and you can get totes success like me. <giggle>. That attitude's pretty prevalent in here.

[–]CisWhiteMaelstrom 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I take it you don't browse /r/asktrp. A lot of those men are insecure, unmuscular, and too nervous or shy even to comment on /r/theredpill. Not that there's anything wrong with that, everyone's gotta start somewhere, but we've got a good number of incels looking to do better.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm talking about men on this sub. I make a point not to go to those subs since I know I'm not welcome there anyway.

[–]ProtoPillRed Before Red4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The men on this sub are typically more well-read in RP principles, most of them are older with established careers and hobbies, and several of them have families. The percent of ECs and mods compared to the typical TRPer here is much higher than on TRP. In essence, the RP men on PPD are not representative of the typical TRPer. As Cis said, such TRPers are typically digesting the material in /r/asktrp or /r/theredpill.

[–]Xemnas812 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A bit off topic but I'm a noob unplugging, so why am I accepted on this sub as an experienced source? My posts generally get a fair few up votes yet I'm also a young beta like the dudes of asktrp...

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, that makes sense. I don't go to those subs so I don't know.

[–]trp_zzz 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link

his current attitude about himself is that he's in the top 10% of attractive men and could get anyone.

I'd rate myself a solid 6 based on the women that I can pull with ease.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

Interesting. Most people are probably 5s and 6s imo. I'm not saying every single red piller thinks he's an 8 or 9, I just see it often.

I gauge my attractiveness by who has agreed to commit to me.

[–]trp_zzz 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

Most people are probably 5s and 6s imo.

Talking broad scale most people are a 5. Specifics depends on demographics though. Younger women skew higher, older women skew lower, because female SMV is heavily based on looks. Male doctors skew higher because male SMV is heavily based on status and money.

I gauge my attractiveness by who has agreed to commit to me.

Commitment is hard for women to get just like sex is hard for men to get. The quality of a man who'll commit to a woman is her indication of SMV. The quality of a woman who'll accept being part of a soft harem is the indication of SMV for a man.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

I agree with you here, but SMV for a man also has a lot to do with looks. No matter how famous or rich a guy is, I would never date/sleep with him unless I found him physically attractive. Some women are just up for the money-for-sex transaction and they'll suffer through sex with someone they don't find attractive, but I don't think they're the majority.

[–]trp_zzz -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

but SMV for a man also has a lot to do with looks.

Less than you'd think. Looks, Money, Status, Game are the foundations of male attractiveness. Looks is the least important which is why there's basically no market for male plastic surgery.

I would never date/sleep with him unless I found him physically attractive.

Women's arousal is responsive. A man with Money, Status, and/or Game can compensate for looks, as long as his looks don't shut the door on him. Women will report that a man is hot if he has decent game, will get turned off by bad game. Source: my experiences without game compared to having adequate game.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

I know y'all don't believe anything women say and only what they do, but if I'm representative of a normal woman, I have never once slept with someone I didn't find physically attractive. This is the whole point of "Lift" being like the first rule of trp. No guy is going to turn me on with any amount of money unless he's as physically fit as I am.

Game helps obviously but it's not like I'm going to sleep with a 500 lb man in his 70s no matter what his status or game is.

[–]trp_zzz 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

I have never once slept with someone I didn't find physically attractive.

I believe you. What I'm saying though is that "finding physically attractive" isn't just Looks, it's also Money, Status, and most importantly Game.

This is the whole point of "Lift" being like the first rule of trp.

No, it's only part of that point.

No guy is going to turn me on with any amount of money

You ignore both Status and more importantly, Game.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

I should clarify. All the men I've slept with/dated (granted not a huge number but still) have been conventionally physically attractive.

[–]trp_zzz1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

To respond to your edit upstream

Game helps obviously

Game doesn't "help", game is a requirement. A man with shit game might as well be morbidly obese and confined to a wheelchair. Women don't see this because they only accept men with adequate game.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Okay, fine, but what I'm saying is that there is still a physical threshhold that needs to be met. For different women that may be different, obviously there are some with lower/higher standards and others who are just straight up fame whores/golddiggers.

[–]trp_zzz1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'm saying is that there is still a physical threshhold that needs to be met.

It's highly flexible, because Status and Game can easily compensate and make fuggo men attractive. For examples:

Sean Stephenson has God-tier game, a decent amount of status, probably OK money. Looks? Crippled midget.

Nikolai Valuev has great status, probably good money, who knows how much game. Looks? Neanderthal.

How much poon did these skinny-ass druggies run through? No male models there unless you're modeling the "before" pic of a rehab clinic.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Okay, well I would not sleep with any of those people. Maybe some women would but complete lack of physical attraction can't be overcome for me. The first two guys have managed to get married, but as far as I can tell, not to supermodels, and that doesn't mean they've had sex with hundreds of gorgeous women dying to be with them.

[–]trp_zzz1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

well I would not sleep with any of those people.

Absent their status and game, all of those men would be incels.

The first two guys have managed to get married, but as far as I can tell, not to supermodels

Those women are certainly in the top 40% of women out there. HWP and feminine. On a purely physical basis, all of those examples are punching incredibly far above their weight. The reason is that physical looks not the dominant factor in female attraction.

that doesn't mean they've had sex with hundreds of gorgeous women dying to be with them.

What does that have to do with anything? You might as well be telling a woman with a baby that she's not really a mother because she doesn't have octuplets.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Okay, I mean, I'm not sure what you want me to say. Can we agree that I'm an outlier then, or something? Because I would not, under any circumstances unless it was to save the human race, sleep with someone whose looks I did not find attractive. That doesn't mean I'm relegated to male models, just men I consider decent looking.

Other women are free to chime in and correct me if I'm an outrageous outlier.

[–]Xemnas811 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'm guessing you're in your mid to late 20s.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yeah, why?

[–]Xemnas812 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

RP hamstering that looks matter less. You're pre-Wall (possibly at your peak) so your self-evident prioritisation of looks makes more sense with that knowledge. A lot of the older guys talk from the BB perspective, with either vicarious understanding of AF or retrospective understanding (their youth/hey-days)

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Huh, interesting. I'm surprised you think I'm pre-wall, I always thought we declined rapidly after 22 or something by RP philosophy. I'm also married so I'm not exactly playing the game in any way shape or form. I'm just trying to think of how I behaved/felt when I was single (early 20s)

[–]Xemnas812 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Considering you married mid 20s I'm guessing you're middling SMV too, or a unicorn who settled for Alpha Bucks.

No don't be silly, the Wall is not until at least 30 and I would extend that to 35 in the case of more attractive/fertile women. If 18-25 is the SMV mountain peak, 25-30 is the beautiful view from 2nd base.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh okay, I guess it varies depending on who you talk to. Some people like to just say things for shock value about women being "used up" by 20, so I like to play along, unoffended, to frustrate them.

As for my SMV, I know I'm above average physically but I'm not sure to which degree. Depending on who you talk to, I could be barely above average or significantly above average. I'm a specific type. It doesn't really matter, anyway. I'm also a bit blinded because I believe my husband is extremely good looking and high-value in every way, but I can't use that to gauge how attractive I am, since I guess it's possible I see him with different lenses than other people do. Either way, if it's working for us, cool.

[–]throwaway16431 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Okay, I mean, I'm not sure what you want me to say. Can we agree that I'm an outlier then, or something?

No no, I think trp_zzz definitely believes you in your preferences. We're not doubting that at all.

The point is, when trying to understand how reality works, personal experiences give you a biased view. The only way to understand how reality works is to objectively look at the evidence in a large population.

And statistically speaking, for the average woman, pure physical looks (while important) is much less important than than status and game (in contrast to the average man).

Your personal preferences may be an outlier, maybe not, but it doesn't change what the "statistical woman" is attracted to, so it doesn't really matter if you're an outlier or not.

From the point of view of TRP, what matters is understanding the preferences of the average woman who he's most likely to interact with, so personal subjective experiences aren't really all that important in that context.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Ok, so which large-scale studies confirmed this for you? The way I see it, a few lone famous couples are as much an outlier as I am.

[–]throwaway16431 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

There's tons of evidence in the literature. Just go to google scholar and search for 'sexual dimorphism in mate selection in humans'.

Here's a quick imgur album with snippets from relevant academic papers.

The first is from a famous book by the famous biologist E. O. Wilson called 'On Human Nature' (which is an excellent book, I highly recommend it). The others are from journals which have been highly cited.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

From what I can tell I don't disagree with that imgur album in that women care about money and social skills. I never said those things were immaterial. But as an example, let's say a guy who is a 3/10 is rich and has amazing charisma. Still not dating him. If a guy is a 6/10 with the same qualities, there's a high chance I'd find him attractive. I'm not arguing that women don't care about game or money (or status, whatever) just that it's not a magical Harry Potter spell that turns even the Jabba the Huts of the world into playboys.

[–]throwaway16431 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'm not arguing that women don't care about game or money (or status, whatever) just that it's not a magical Harry Potter spell that turns even the Jabba the Huts of the world into playboys.

Oh yeah, I think you'll find TRP by and large agrees with that. A 3/10 is going to have a tough time, that's for sure. There's probably no way he's going to bag a 7+/10.

Let's even say the 3/10 dresses smart, shaves his neckbeard, showers and brushes, uses anti acne medicine, learns game and becomes more direct/dominant in his personality. That alone will push him at best to a 5/10 which allows him to date equivalent woman. He might still bag a 7/10 if he's really lucky and rich (6 figure+ salary), and this is what TRP tells you as well. There are number of realistic threads like this that pop up every now and then.

On the other hand, a 3/10 woman though is pretty much screwed unless she loses weight. Her dressing up, changing personality, getting money, her degree, etc. are sadly NOT going to make up for her looks, because the reality is most men are attracted primarily to looks.

That is the reality of hypergamy and human nature, and that's the whole point of this discussion.

tldr; a 3/10 guy can get game and money to date a more attractive woman, while an equivalent 3/10 woman has to lose weight.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I agree with you 90% here, except for the fact that losing weight is the only thing a 3/10 woman can do to become more attractive. I am considered far more attractive than I was a few years ago, I'm a woman, and I actually weigh slightly more now than I did before (I was probably underweight before). There are still other things women can do to appear more attractive, just physically.

Some examples include more flattering clothing, better makeup (or wearing makeup at all), getting contacts, improving quality of skin, grooming her eyebrows (sounds goofy but eyebrows make an enormous difference on women), dying her hair, GROWING OUT her hair (long hair looks a million times better than short 90% of the time), and getting a more flattering haircut.

I don't think female attraction is limited to "fat vs. not fat." There's more to it, EVEN if we are only talking looks. I see women all the time who would be considered very pretty if they put in an iota of effort but they hide behind unfashionable clothing and masculine styling, so nobody notices them.

I don't know about that. Haven't seen any of them say that personally, but I seem to remember hearing about GLO saying most of the guys he's Skyped are just average and don't fit the neckbeard profile.

[–]PemBayliss 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Even that goes too far, lollipop. These guys don't claim even to have the capacity to be players. Most don't want to be, thought they'd take it if it came.

They just want relationships that work for them. They want lives that work for them; instead of them having to work for everyone else. They want lives that are theirs; instead of lives in which everyone else gets served what they've got and they get 10% left over for themselves.

This is surprising for me to hear, because I was fairly certain most of the men on this sub aspire to a soft harem situation, are against committing to a woman, and find women over 30 so undesirable that they never plan to LTR a woman because she will eventually age. I thought the whole point was a steady stream of women between 16-20, indefinitely. Not commenting on how valid that goal is, just saying I thought it was the main goal.

If I'm wrong, that's totally fine, this is just what I've read.

[–]PemBayliss 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If a guy could get a soft harem, he'd do it. Will most guys do that? No. Are most men, even RP men, able to do that? No.

RP is vehemently against marriage and commitment. A lot are married; but even most of the married men will not recommend marriage to any man, at least not legal marriage.

A lot of men are in committed LTRs; but they are LTRs that can easily be ended with little fuss should that become necessary. (I think this is the only sort of LTR that can be recommended now -- LTR with little legal and property entanglements so personal matters and property can be easily and quickly separated in the event the relationship ends.)

I think RP would say women over 30 are great for having fun, dating, casual sex, etc. but are completely unsuitable for commitment. There's not an RPer out there who would turn away a 30 and up woman who's taken care of herself, is physically attractive, is weight-height proportionate, and who is sexually available.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

All I'm saying is that the harem is the goal. I thought you were saying that RP guys sometimes, or often, want girlfriends and life partners. This just confirms that's not true, but maybe that wasn't what you were trying to suggest in the first place. It's impossible to have a life partner, married or not, if you are repulsed by women over 30 ["unsuitable for commitment"- even if you've been dating for 5 years, or just when you meet her?]. Any woman you commit to will eventually be 30.

[–]Maoist-PussyOriginal Feminist1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All I'm saying is that the harem is the goal

Think of it like Buddhism. Entering Nirvana is the goal. It is understood that you will not achieve it in this lifetime, but the best way to live is to prepare yourself for it as best you can.

(note: this could be totally wrong. I am not a Buddhist.)

This is surprising for me to hear, because I was fairly certain most of the men on this sub aspire to a soft harem situation, are against committing to a woman, and find women over 30 so undesirable that they never plan to LTR a woman because she will eventually age.

I think most TRP men have written off marriage (and to a lesser extent LTRs) because of the existential risk presented by divorce, pregnancy scares, and the like. Between the high level of risk and the small percentage of women who would qualify as LTR+ material it's just not a realistic goal. Why go unicorn hunting when that quest is almost guaranteed to be a waste of time?

If a guy still wants to have sex, then, the next best solution is a soft harem/series of low-commitment relationships. This isn't as difficult or risky as attempting to pull off an endless series of one-night stands and it opens the door for some level of relationship that isn't purely physical.

Most men don't start out with that second goal; they settle on it because the preferred path is near impossible to safely walk.

[–]Maoist-PussyOriginal Feminist0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, yes, and all the BP people on this sub are in perfect monogamous LTRs and they have sex all the time every day for 20 years and never cheat or get bored with each other.

Out of curiosity why did your SMV drop?

In short? I stopped being strong/masculine/a leader. I lost sight of what it meant to be "a man" in a woman's eyes.

I not only started to feel weak, emasculated, and discouraged/defeated, but I also made no attempt to shield my wife (and the other women in my life with whom I experience attraction) from my feelings, and actually looked to her/them to help prop me up.

That's some seriously attraction-devastating stuff right there.

Objectively, I could still draw interest from women who didn't know me, but after spending any length of time with me, any initial attraction they experienced evaporated.

[–]PrimePussyOverRancidRP0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Would you say the same applies to RPW, that the group is usually stretching towards an ideal they don't yet embody? What percent of each group would you say have "made it"?

[–]LamiaQueenInternalized Misogynist2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I think that would be true of every group, but yeah. My guess is that RPW definitely fits under that as well. I know I was drawn to it when I found out they had similar goals to mine and were antifeminism like me. This would also explain why it didn't work for you, because you are in a different position and don't have the same desire to have your SO take the lead.

As for how many have "made it" I really couldn't say. Change is hard, even if it's a change you believe in, and I think a lot of the talk is just maintenance, how to keep going on the same path without backsliding into old ways. I know you get progress updates like "Oh, I got engaged, thanks RPW!" But I don't consider that making it simply due to the nature of relationships being constant work.

[–]MissPearlEditor of frequent typos.2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Mmm, if it weren't for the whole feminism thing it would nice to have a place to hang out to talk about being nice to my partner. I don't even think I'm bad at it, just as RPW observed there is a dearth of secular communities that combine an interest in femme with the sort of nice/cozy/nurturing I like.

You're right that I don't feel at all compelled to be led though!

[–]Maoist-PussyOriginal Feminist-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

[–]MissPearl1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That's a case of anecdote VS anecdote though. But as per your claim of induced desires:

My sexual desire exists in the absence of men- just in term of getting clitoral erections or wanting or masturbate more or less based on internal desires. I don't feel a compulsion to submit to anyone, man or woman. The only count argument there is to say it is simply a matter of "yet", but having a rich life of sexual perversion and libertine desire, I seem to have an inherently nurturing urge, the desire to lead and run things, but am poor in submissive inclinations and there is no evidence I will chuck myself at some guy's feet based on my past actions.

[–]Maoist-Pussy1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That is wonderful! I am happy for you.

But I am not in the business of dismantling valid generalizations due to exceptions. The end result of this is that we end up with more parameters than we have data points, and the model starts to describe random noise. At that point, the model loses predictive performance.

If you'd read TRP posts with "more than three lines", you'd know it's average men, who came to TRP with trouble getting girls, and who are now putting RP principles into practice, got success with them, and sharing how/what they did. Others who have tried the same or similar give their experience and advice.

Then you got the non-average, top RPers like IllimitableMan/Archwinger/Whisper/etc. teaching the more advanced shit.

[–]throwaway16435 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

How the fuck do you know they are successful men outside Reddit?

It doesn't fucking matter. Most men on TRP probably were once upon a time naturally nice, empathaic and kind towards women (and men too) but didn't realize that behavior is not by itself inherently attractive and automatically result in success in relationships.

Then, they actually tried implementing what IllimitableMan, Archwinger and numerous others discuss on TRP in real life, and they see immediate results and better success with women.

The proof is in the pudding and evidence, not on the authority of what people on the internet say. i.e, TRP works in real life in being more attractive towards women.

[–]yo_radical_one 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Of course it matters.

The main tenet of redpill is that sexual strategy is amoral, you care not whether it's good, only if it works. If these stories are made up, then it's not working, christ.

[–]throwaway16434 points5 points6 points 10 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

If these stories are made up, then it's not working, christ.

Instead of listening to random stories and theories on the internet, the only true test of validity is the experimental approach.

i.e, random strangers on the internet can claim anything. Sure, Chad may or may not have really fucked all those women in that field report, who cares? It's only when you experimentally test out some of the central tenets of TRP in your social interactions (i.e, recognizing and deflecting shit tests, physically escalate, tease and being unapologetic, outwardly stoic/aloof, showing a dominant personality, hitting the gym etc.) the results are pretty self-evident and dramatic. It's not about belief. It's about evidence.

[–]yo_radical_one 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

A lot of life is about perception.

For example, there are people who would tell you the radical one is a studious geeky guy, there are those who would tell you I am violent and domineering. You might have thought you were being stoic or aloof, but the girl who liked you may have seen something else.

[–]PrimePussyOverRancidRP4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You might have thought you were being stoic or aloof, but the girl who liked you may have seen something else.

[–]throwaway16432 points3 points4 points 10 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

See, this is where we fundamentally disagree.

Yes, there are variations due to perception, but we're not all special snowflakes and there are clear objective trends and generalizations in behavior you can make in humans.

If you accept the ansatz that "Our personalities and behavior, including sexual attraction, have been shaped by evolutionary forces over hundreds of thousands of years", then it immediately follows that there are definite trends and rationalizations of personalities and behavior that are objectively more attractive, because they have been selected for.

Of course, there'll always be outliers, but statistically, TRP is hugely effective in predicting social interactions between the genders.

[–]yo_radical_one 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Men rationalise too.

Imagine you are a young some guy at high school, still a virgin and you liked the hottest girl in your year and you were going to ask her to the prom, go as a couple. She says she is not attracted to you, you're too different and then you see her making out with some older guy in the back of his car. Lots of guys get mad and say he is 'one of those assholes women go for', but nobody actually knows he is an asshole, he could be attractive but really tender and loyal. Maybe the men who say women go for assholes, are just rationalising their rejection.

Chad's not on Redpill. Chad has no need for Redpill. He started Monk Mode when he was 13 and dominated the SMP by 18.

Chad is the natural Alpha who never had to work for women's attention, it came so naturally for him to be the creme de la creme of men, or his genetics were so pure that he could treat them like cum dumpsters and they'd still come running for him.

Chad is usually oblivious to his own top SMV, and is funnily enough quite a nice guy. (Albeit dumb) However, some Chads are absolute cunts, but everyone admires him anyway, as he flushes skinny dweeb's heads down the toilet.

[–]Xemnas816 points7 points8 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

First of all, if you think those guys are just 'attractive' then woe betide the fugliness of Joe Schmo.

Following from this

https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/3irgui/why_do_terpers_take_such_an_issue_with_supposed/cuj2dhq?context=3

The feminine imperative encourages men to regard themselves as lower SMV than they might be, and present themselves as lower status than they are. Thus we have a rise in boring beta nice guys filtering themselves out of the SMP through Beta Game, demonstrating insecurity and neediness etc.

While not as effective as Chad's naturally peak SMV, a man can give the illusion of higher SMV/ social proof/high status upon first encounter through demonstration of higher value than her SMV-i.e., that he is at leas her equal, and not intimidated by her as such, some might go as far as to indeed say 'cocky dickhead'. Even though she does not like this on the humanistic level, Hypergamy loves it and seeks it out.

[–]Xemnas810 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Upsetting but not nearly as upsetting as reading academic reports on why the Duluth Model protects women from toxic masculinity, for example. I am much more concerned by an esteemed professional indoctrinating the masses with hateful manipulative material, and pretending to be doing it out of my own interests, than someone who just openly hates and rages. I think you guys are missing the point. TRP guy do not take issue with any of these facts. OTHERS, take issue with them being called to light.

A TRP guy says "Female Hypergamy=AWALT=ok moving forward act accordingly" There's no issue, only acceptance and behaiviour adjustment on our part.

People that don't accept these facts, want to believe terpers are whiners, in order to minimize the actual point. Make no mistake, we observe, we analyze, we modify our behavior. Not complaining at all.

[–]Valid_concept 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

At this point I'm wondering if BP is more concerned with tone policing than the actual content. I mean if we were just to say "hey you know what, women are hypergamous and will divorce rape my ass if I'm too beta, that's fine girls you keep on being you!" then yep that's fine, no threat to fem-centric frame, you have us wrapped around your little finger. You're absolutely right about that. The anger phase is 100% unquestionably red pill and every red piller is (and i mean thisbstrictly in terms of justifying, explaining, or validating our philosophy and group) accountable for its existence. I believe that to be roughly the opinion of roughly every single EC. I cannot endorse their knowledge because a lot of them are new and lack theoretical basis. However, as rough as they may be they are 100% red pill and I've gotten a lot of upvotes in the passed for calling them some of the reddest motherfuckers on the red pill. Anyone who disavows he anger phase is just plain wrong. There's no room for disagreement about this one; they are just wrong. The anger phase is not to be separated from the rest of the red pill. If it were then there'd be a different sub for it and yhenmods have made it QUITE clear that there will never be.

That being said, it's important to realize that the anger phase is an ANGER phase, not a hatred phase, an abusive phase, or any of that. It is what it is and it's nothing else.

The only way a man should ever interact with a woman is through praise and admiration. A man should never risk damaging a woman's self esteem. How can she be a strong independent woman, if mean men are teasing her? A woman should never be disparaged even jokingly. Men need to accept women for who they are without judgement.

[–]PrimePussyOverRancidRP2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

No, but if she is capable of securing commitment from a man better than her husband, then sure. Keyword: capable, like 90% chance she can pull it off.

Not all women, who are capable, will of course. It depends on certain things like cultural pressure (e.g. how close your families are involved), children and cost/benefits of divorce, the pair bond with her husband is too strong, etc.

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

And this applies to all women, even women dating/married to men who are more attractive than they are? If a 5 is married to a 7, she has a 90% chance of securing commitment from an 8+? That sounds unlikely. And if it's likely, I don't know why anyone needs to worry about the wall if there are tons of attractive men just waiting to commit to fuggos.

[–]PrimePussyOverRancidRP0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

No, but a 7 woman married to a 7 man may be "capable" of getting an 8 man or another 7 man with a better job/house/status to commit.

And if it's likely, I don't know why anyone needs to worry about the wall if there are tons of attractive men just waiting to commit to fuggos.

It's not simply attractiveness of the man. It's wealth and status.

An 8/10 woman and a 8/10 man's SMVs are determined differently. All she basically needs is her looks. A man needs his looks and career/finances/status.

Yes, but if all women are de facto ugly after..idk, 24, then even being able to score a good looking guy for commitment, even if he isn't rich or famous, sounds like a pretty huge win to me.

I agree it's not all women. but the question is is she staying together because she can't get anyone higher or genuinely content with what she got.

There are some RPers who advise marrying/LTRing a woman lower than you. Unfortunately, these women can be just as entitled and not fully appreciate her situation of bagging a high value man for herself, relative to her own value. She should be thanking the heavens everyday but still has entitlement.

Here are some testimonies from guys who married/LTRed women lower than them:

  • No you can't marry an ugly girl and expect her to be faithful. AWALT. No exceptions, even for uggos.

  • Anyone ever LTR'd/married a woman that had a lower SMV than you because you wanted to avoid the bullshit?

Depends on her routines for skin/body/looks.

It is a "huge win" to do that, but will they be thanking their heavens for landing this guy?

Personally, I'll take my chances with the better looking woman and her hypergamy.

[–]CisWhiteMaelstrom 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If a woman's sleeping with you then she almost certainly wants commitment. Feminists like to say that empowered women just like to fuck but if that were the case then nobody would find it offensive to use women like human flashlights. Fact is, if she wants your dick then she wants you. A lot of women project that onto men. They believe that we feel the same way about commitment and that her SMV must in some way reflect her RMV. If Chad Thundercock is fucking her silly while she's married then she'll often think he wants her and that she can successfully branch swing. Before she ever cheats, she might try to research the guy a little bit and do some speculation but it's almost always tainted by her projection. Stories of women failing to branch swing like that are common as hell.

If a woman's sleeping with you then she almost certainly wants commitment.

We agree there. You're not speaking to a radfem right now.

So basically, you're saying that a woman won't deliberately leave their husbands to sleep around, they just accidentally do it because they think the sex will lead to something more. Correct?

[–]CisWhiteMaelstrom 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I don't think women ever give up something as valuable as commitment to secure something as weak as sex. Of they misread their prospects though, especially with the help of an especially manipulative Chad, then they'll often take a lousy gamble that they thought was a sure thing, and lose big.

Let's repeat, with emphasis:

Every woman has a chance of getting with someone better than she's with right now. The likelihood of that chance coming to fruition is influenced by, but not solely dependent on, the delta between the current branch she's on and the one she wants to swing onto.

[–]Xemnas81-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Yes.

Women are already intrinsically more valuable to the continuity of the human race; eggs and offspring. Hence their historical status as the oppressed, yet protected and in a way privileged class. Men are disposable, and low-status men in particular are cannon fodder/carrion for the feminine imperative.

Hypergamy utilises the feminine imperative to artificially inflate a woman's SMV through the usage of various social conventions. Examples of these include the feminine mystique, 'leagues' mentality, shaming tactics towards men who reject the engine of male disposability, and expectations of 'chivalry', courtship and benevolent sexism-that is, men 'proving' their worth as first warriors or workers, then gentlemen, and finally suitors. Consider that, for example, a survey recorded a reaction where the absence of benevolent sexism is perceived as hostile sexism or misogyny by women until outright stated otherwise.

The effect of this socialisation of men under the feminine imperative is that the average man, already deprived of both emotional coping skills and outlets in others for intimacy and vulnerability, meets the validation/approval of women from a scarcity mentality (since he is conditioned to regard himself as lower status than her). So men can become more emotionally invested in their ability to be vulnerable in this setting-something which forces them to demonstrate low value, through clinginess/neediness and other insecurities. Stuff which women could get away with as 'reasonable needs'. Hypergamy's already winning, because it demands men to indicate high status through behaviours if not raw SMV. Now men below its threshold have too many confidence issues to bother interfering with its goals, and if they do try, their behaviour will call them out.

The result of this is that pussy has been placed on a pedestal, young women can post selfies and get a wave of adoration while men are practically invisible unless they achieve greatness, and the attitude of the average (or below average) woman on online dating is to be entitled to Prince Charming despite offering net to nothing but baggage and bitterness herself.

'leagues' mentality

Redpillers don't believe in leagues? Then what's with all the ratings? You don't think there are women whose leagues you are out of, being more attractive than they are?

If anything, it's the feminists who are constantly saying leagues don't exist.

[–]Xemnas810 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

TRP absolutely believes in leagues, it's the essence of the SMV spectrum and Hypergamy in action.

What needs to be acknowledged is that the feminine imperative creates a collective social consciousness where

i) women's SMV is artificially inflated to higher than it actually is (in order to optimise their sexual strategy i.e hypergamy)

ii) while simultaneously men outside of the top 20% are perhaps encouraged to regard their SMV as lower than it actually is-'she's out of my league'

iii) As I mentioned, when dealing with 2 people of both the same SMV, men's need for validation by women is inherently greater than women's need for it from men, because of the mechanics of the FI; this has them behaving in ways which demonstrate low value/status (Beta Game) and thus eradicating themselves from Hypergamy's selection pool.

The purpose of deconstructing Beta Game and 'leagues' mentality is not to naively dismiss the existence of Hypergamy. That's laughable and a core component of swallowing the red pill. The purpose is to challenge the power of the FI and DHV (demonstrate high value) to the target through the attitude that you are above and beyond the capacities of SMV. In practice, Hypergamy will still quickly translate this back into 'high status behaviour=higher SMV man=green light', but as we're dealing with real-time social dynamics and behavioural psychology here, one has to think outside the how to generate this effect.

http://therationalmale.com/2012/01/05/a-league-of-your-own/

[–]buttlollipopappropriating pill culture0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Ah, so you're not saying feminists are the only ones believing in leagues, but rather believing in exaggerated or inaccurate leagues. Thanks for clarifying.

[–]Xemnas811 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

please clarify: you believe feminists to be believing in exaggerated or inaccurate leagues?

The purpose of feminism deconstructing leagues mentality for women is to artificially inflate women's SMV through campaigns upon objectification, against body-shaming etc. When one cannot determine a woman's SMV through their body or weight, a previously SMV 3 woman could now be an SMV 6. Combine this with expectations of forced 'equalism' and the feminine mystique, now an SMV 3 woman is in her safe space an SMV 6.

The purpose of feminism deconstructing leagues mentality for men is to breed a population of Betas who failed the feminine imperative's shit-test and thus disqualified themselves from from the Alpha Fucks pool, but then moulds them into potential Beta Buxes in later life.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

please clarify: you believe feminists to be believing in exaggerated or inaccurate leagues?

No, I believe feminists keep insisting on the whole "attraction is subjective" thing and actually oppose leagues, but then counteract this with the "Just because I'm fat doesn't mean I have to settle for a fat guy" conundrum that I keep seeing within HAES. So maybe I agree with you at least somewhat, but also there are plenty of feminists who aren't the HAES fat positivity types. If you ask about leagues on /r/AskWomen pretty much everyone will say they don't exist and that if you think you're not in a woman's league you are probably just not confident enough. FWIW I also think this is BS.

[–]Xemnas811 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Hah I'm banned from AskWomen for red pilling last summer…

think you're not in a woman's league you are probably just not confident enough

This is the feminine imperative at work with shaming tactics and the feminine mystique. If the problem is always you, then the feminine evan never be shallow! If one cannot even comprehend of the feminine being shallow, then the FI is not even comprehended, let alone challenged. Thus, the feminine mystique seeks to consolidate the power of the FI and Hypergamy. It is crucial to the FI that men do not feel that they're being locked into BB servitude via male disposability; rather, that they are the ones with power. Hence 'patriarchy'

note I refer to 'the feminine' because it's not psychologically as simple as saying 'women', and men propagate the feminine imperative too.

[–]buttlollipop1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh, well, I think women are plenty shallow, I just think men are equally as shallow. I was actually pretty happy to see a recent sub on AskWomen about misconceptions of women, and a lot of women said they hated how often people insisted women were deeper and didn't care about appearance, because obviously we do. I was pretty surprised to see that.

[–]Xemnas811 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The difference is that if a man is shallow, everybody cries sexist shitlord

It's not surprising at all. The Manosphere has charted for the past few years that the discussion of red pill reality has unshielded the feminine mystique. So now, the feminine is coming out as being openly hypergamous. What is yet to be acknowledged is that this hypergamy is unbridled.

We know that you were positively a legend on TSR the way that I was a mod-raging clown. I would posit that you have not known what it was like to be total incel, at least not for a long time. The importance of SMV and hypergamy looks trivial to somebody who's taken and feeling secure in their relationship.

I want to have a drink with him for sure.

'With that broad back becomes imperative to comment. Hope ya chick dont come with no dick'

Sums it up O.o

[–]PrimePussyOverRancidRP2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She's not overweight though.

And who doesn't like fit girls?

[–]throwaway16432 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Also, did you notice the instant switch to shaming when logical discussion fails?

[–]PrimePussyOverRancidRP1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Haha yes.

Can't expect much from /u/yo_radical_one though.

'With that broad back becomes imperative to comment. Hope ya chick dont come with no dick'

Cool, so now blue pill types are insulting women by implying that they're transgender.

[–]yo_radical_one 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I'll say what I want.

Maybe if GLO was less goofy and childish he would find better looking women.

[–]trp_zzz 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I'll say what I want.

That's an incredibly courageous position for you to take. Amazing that you're standing firm against those horrible trans people.

[–]yo_radical_one 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I never derided trans people, but if you want to know, I would never have sex with one even if I were single

[–]trp_zzz2 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I never derided trans people

I can see your smear of transgendered women from here.

[–]yo_radical_one1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Perhaps there is a cream for that

I heard it responds pretty well to gay lube oil ;)

[–]trp_zzz2 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The one thing that there's no "perhaps" about is that you're a proud bigot - like many people who are up on their high horses.

[–]yo_radical_one1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Your bullshit attempt at making out the bluepillers to be the bigots and the redpillers as the goodies is not gonna work.

You people are scum.

[–]trp_zzz2 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Your bullshit attempt at making out the bluepillers to be the bigots

I'm specifically calling you out as a proud bigot, and as evidence I'm point to your smug and bigoted comment. I can't speak for the rest of your ilk, but they're free to chime in.

[–]PrimePussyOverRancid1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You can't take the high road this time mate ;)

'With that broad back becomes imperative to comment. Hope ya chick dont come with no dick'

Sums it up O.o

You just implied a muscular back girl hopefully doesn't have a dick.

[–]yo_radical_one1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don't like women with masculine traits, I don't apologise for this either.

[–]PrimePussyOverRancid2 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That's fine. Just say that instead of implying a muscular chick hopefully doesn't have a dick.

I thought BPers hated when RP slut shames.

Let me illuminate it for you:

  • "With that many dicks taken, it becomes imperative to comment. Hope ya chick dont come with no STDs and baggage." Sums it up O.o

  • You just implied a promiscuous girl hopefully doesn't have a diseases or mental issues.

  • I don't like women with promiscuous traits, I don't apologise for this either.

  • That's fine. Just say that instead of implying a promiscuous chick hopefully doesn't have a diseases or mental issues.

See what I'm saying about that high road? Lol doesn't seem like you're that much morally better than RPers

[–]yo_radical_one1 point 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'll add a trigger warning for you next time.

[–]PrimePussyOverRancid2 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Lmao. That's exactly the response RPers give when they're getting shit for saying sluts are disgusting.

I'm glad you're not like those BPers from /r/thebluepill who actually takes trigger warnings seriously.

The plan is to use hypergamy to your favor. Which is what I am doing.
