I just trained a guy at work, and he spent some time talking about how terrible his girlfriend is. She will order a glass of wine, when out, and only have a sip, knowing full well that she expects him to pay for the dinner. Or she drinks a sip of OJ, and leaves the full cup on the counter. She is wasteful and demanding.

Two examples:

Date 1

Woman orders 5 drinks during dinner. I don't drink. She orders the most expensive thing on the menu and appetizers for her. So much food, she picked at the food and asked for it to go. The entire time she talked about being a feminist and that women and men should be treated equally. Check came. I put down half. Her response, "a gentleman pays for his date." I asked if her feminism ended when the check showed up?

Date 2

Woman insists on goi g to one of those upscale portions so small you stop my Mickey D's on the way home places. Again, most expensive thing on the menu. Proceeds to say," Any man lucky enough to be in my presence, should expect to spend at least $200/dinner on me and we should never go back to the same restaurant twice." I asked her if I left the $200 on the dresser in the morning when I left and we skipped dinner since all she seemed interested in was how much was spent on her, would be acceptable?

In both cases, the crassness that was shown and the sense of entitlement based on gender was astounding.

I was thinking today about my wonderfull father(passes away) when we were young.

When I was sick with Chicken Pox he would buy me a Power Aid Sports drink and pizza sometimes then he would even leave work in the middle of the day to give it to me.

I felt his love and how much he cared for me from this aswell with everything else he would do for us. I loved him because he always my dad, and this show he showed his love.

If you go out to eat with someone with the expectation that you are paying (regardless of if it's a date or just treating a friends) there is an implicit agreement between you and the other person: you will not restrict what they order and they will not order excessively. If you take a girl out and you know you can't afford to get a drink or two just have the discussion that you'll each pay for yourselves. If she's not okay with that then you don't want to go out with them.
