Anyone else have problems with their anxiety? If so, how do you manage it in a healthy way?

Mine is really bad at present, to the point where I am struggling to function and keep up with all my responsibilities in my household and relationships. And then failing at these things is making me more anxious.

I think that diet and lack of exercise are big issues, I have a lot of weight to lose (and basically always have had). I use food as an escape from my anxiety, and it's not how I want to be.

I have tried CBT, and though it helped a little at the time I can't seem to pause negative thoughts enough to make it work. I have been on meds for depression in the past, but not for a long time, as my doctor generally recommends CBT instead.

I also am much worse during my period, where I will spend hours worrying about dying or my husband/son dying. As you can imagine, add in a global pandemic and this is far worse.

I have a tendency to turn to wanting sex/flirting as a way of getting out of my own head, which would be fine but it puts way too much pressure on my husband to give me that even if he isn't in the mood. And I get very sulky when rejected, which I hate.

I want to be a wife he can be proud of, one who has her sh*t together and isn't always an emotional train wreck. He needs and deserves that.

Thanks ladies.
