Here's my shower thought for the day:

A friend was having husband issues yesterday and the question about whether her husband is "on the spectrum" came up. I've had people ask me the same in the past.

Wondering now if masculinity (or certain male traits) are "on the spectrum"...either for real or just in women's heads.

Idk and I don't have an answer it's just ... Idk

We are having our memorial day picnic tomorrow with my side of the family, and every holiday I offer to bring more than I can reasonably get done, and yet I've done it again. It's because I absolutely love hosting and bringing gifts when others host and I love cooking for other people. So busy day today.

Hating my period. Cramps are especially bad this month and very heavy. And my husband was finally feeling amorous. So that stinks!

My sister is such a piece of crap and needed me to feed her ego. I've never(!!) ever seen that until recently.

I visited my sister today, and we had a long talk. As often happens, there were plenty of opportunities to bitch and complain about my husband, which I didn't do. We also got talking about the unequal split of chores and responsibilities for Mothers and Fathers, and rather than join in on how unfair it is, I held my ground on the pressure and expectations on new fathers too.

Oh, and she was asking me if I'm not bored as a SAHW, and I was explaining why working would be difficult to fit in around my husband's shifts. It was almost like I was trying to justify my life choices in the face of judgement that I must be really boring because I have no work day stories and dont see a lot of people outside my home. It left me a little deflated, despite the rest of the chat being enjoyable.
