Hi everyone, first time posting on Reddit. I’m a 22-year-old student (currently doing my master’s degree) and working part-time. I don’t have a lot of romantic experience, even though I often get approached.

I met a 29-year-old doctor on Bumble. We have a lot of common interests, and we talked for 5-6 days. We’re from the same country, and we both share traditional values. We’re also both looking for marriage.

I want a provider, and even though I didn’t bring up this topic, he did—saying that he wants to treat me like a princess, etc. He also talks about money a lot, mentioning that he makes $70K per month and plans to build a clinic (which would triple his income).

On Black Friday, I mentioned going shopping with a friend, and he sent me $300 as a small gift (I didn’t ask). A couple of days ago, I told him, “It would make me so happy if you could send me $100 for my manicure/pedicure.” He replied, “You know I can buy you everything you want, but we haven’t met yet.” I said, “Okay, no problem.” Then he asked, “Doesn’t it bother you?” I replied, “No,” and after that, we stopped talking.

We used to talked all day before this conversation and we planned to meet this Sunday.

Am I in the wrong? Should I text him first to clarify the situation? I assumed he was comfortable sending me money since he did so without me even asking at first. Initially, I didn’t want to text him first, but I feel like we would get along well in person.
