He's not even going to notice this. He'll notice that you're wearing makeup or you're not, but he's not going to think "Wow. Her nose looks awful, today." Most men just aren't that detail-oriented. Stop thinking about it and continue to look your best when you can.

It probably isn't good for you to do anything that causes you to feel guilty. Stop with the contouring for now -if you feel bad about it, your mind is telling you something. You should explore the roots of what you're feeling and reconcile them.

This is pure personal opinion, but I think makeup is a wonderful tool to accentuate and celebrate what you have... BUT when it becomes a tool to totally change a feature of your face, it can become a toxic weapon against yourself. Every time you wear makeup with the spirit of "my nose is ugly", it is like a hammer driving that message deeper into your heart. Further, you are then prone to assume every man who likes your made-up face agrees with the thoughts you had while putting on that makeup, that your nose is ugly. It creates a very negative feedback loop for yourself that isn't at all rooted in how the men actually feel.

Tl;dr - Learn to love (or atleast accept) your nose.

Realize that contouring and makeup were designed for the 2 dimensional world (modeling and photography). A good contour can change a woman from a 6 to a 9 in photos (esp in self-confidence boosting selfies, on Instagram but also in the mirror, which is the only way we see ourselves!). But in 3 dimensions aka the real world, it may only boost her from a 6 to a 6.5 or 7. The real boost comes from an increase in confidence when a woman thinks that she looks her most hawt.

Just putting this in perspective because men take in the overall appearance of a woman, they don’t zero in and hyperfocus on the “flaws” that we are especially sensitive to. Makeup can help overall but don’t get too caught up on one specific “fix.”

Focus on getting your body as sexy and strong as possible, wear the right outfits that accentuate your feminine figure, and he won’t care about your nose.

Learn to accept your imperfect nose. Only you know if you need to quit the makeup in order to do that. Trust me, You don't want any guy that gets hung up (negatively) on the imperfection of your nose (regardless of your makeup routine). How you feel about your nose and the role of makeup is the real issue here.

Honestly I suggest embracing your nose. This comes from someone who has a stereotypical large nose with a bump in the bridge. My captain does not mind in the slightest. We actual have a similar nose structure and joke that our kids are going to be mad at us. Your nose is not nearly as relevant as a sweet disposition and a kind heart.

Most guys don’t even notice if you chop 5 or more inches off your hair! Do what makes you feel good, but make sure you’re spending time with your real reflection too. There’s nothing inherently wrong with you or your nose, and no guy worth the time is ever even going to notice.

Ideally you want to be happy with what you have "au naturel", meaning the best is to be happy with your face without makeup and makeup is extra...thats where tou get real confidence. And if nose is an issue maybe you can consider reconstructive surgery, it is usually to correct imperfections which resulted from injuries and things like that. You should not feel guilty because you did not choose anything you have and it was probably an accident what happened to you. just work with what you have but I would say to not rely on makeup so that you start feeling good about yourself knowing that you dont need to contour everyday

I think you've received some really good advice on accepting yourself as is in this thread... I'm going to give you my view as someone who ended up getting some alterations done (nothing huge!) and I don't regret it one bit. I've told my boyfriend that I got it done and it's the only thing I plan to ever get done (except for maybe some botox later on).

I had a cleft chin that I absolutely loathed and tried to hide in every single photo that was taken. Goodness me, it was a total killer to my self confidence (I spent a lot of time trying to hide it with makeup, scarves.....my hand lol). At 19, I saved up some money and got my chin altered, and it was the best damn money I've spent on my appearance.

I know guys don't really notice these things... I did it for me and my self confidence because it was something that really bothered me.

I feel for you. My insecurities are struggles with adult acne and with protruding ears. I couldn’t really do anything about my ears except keep my hair down, but I would be sure to have makeup on to hide my red face. I felt like my face was really ugly and longed for clear skin.

I started dating my current boyfriend in December, and I did wear makeup as I was getting to know him, but he soon told me that he preferred me without makeup. Later, when I told him how much I disliked my ears, he told me he’d never noticed. He refers to them now as cute bug ears.

I don’t want to tell you that guys don’t care about your nose, because maybe some do. I’m sure there are guys who don’t find my flaws attractive, for example. But you’ll find guys who don’t care about your nose and find you attractive for other reasons :) I hope this isn’t too cliche and is a little helpful.

Not a woman, I'm a guy, but I can probably speak for almost all men when I say that your nose is about .001% of your attractiveness or lact thereof. A real man would want an authentic, real woman, who maximizes what she has naturally (maybe that's some makeup, but does not cross the line of being fake. As always, keep in good shape, be feminine, and have a pleasant personality, and you are 90% there.
