Perfume recommendations?

I've used Chloe for years and love it! It's pretty light and not too sweet and doesn't contain too much citrus.

Hello!! I don't have specific brands but I'd say darker and mysterious smells are more appropriate for nightlife/intimate time because it's richer and sexier.

I prefer sweet perfumes for everyday life. People at work, school and everywhere else associate you with a fresh, girly and sugary smell. It will also make you look more feminine through the day and will give that image of you to others.

If you have an SO, make sure to investigate his preferences. If he prefers darker perfumes, forget my advice and go for whatever he likes.

I like Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black. You can get it very cheaply in a rollerball at Sephora if you want to just try it out. I think it's a nice edgy/sexy scent, I don't like sweet scents myself.

If you have the money and can really wear these fragrances (instead of letting them wear you!), Creed makes great ones that I think last longer than other bottles.

I've been using Love in White -- it has a cool story, too, since it's the perfume that they send as a gift to the First Lady every 4 years. :)

Prada Candy has been my go to for the past year. Before that I did Coach. I usually use the roller balls because then I can get a sense if I like them and then if not I wouldn't has used too much money on them. Sephora usually has most of the scents in rollerball form.

My "every day" perfume is Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana - it's light and airy, not too heavy. My "special" perfume is Flora by Gucci - it's definitely got a little more weight to it, but if used sparingly has a very elegant edge to it.

My new favorite is YSL Black Opium. It is sweet, but spicy too. I think it's a really sexy smell. Prada Candy and Pink Sugar are some others I like.

I've always had a hard time with perfumes. They all tend to smell kind of the same to me, the generic "perfume" smell with the alcohol base. I've tried sniffing my way through Sephora and haven't really found anything I've liked yet :(

Oh I was going to say Tom Ford Black Orchid! Glad to see it's already in your line of sight :) I'm absolutely in love with that perfume, and they do have some variations of the scent available depending on where you buy it.

Personally, it was strong enough that anyone hugging me noticed, but not too strong that the person sitting at the desk next to me would. Adding some to the ends of my hair helps it linger on me all day.

Sephora has some nice sample sets you can purchase that come with a voucher for a full sized bottle or a rollerball (depending on the set you purchase). Whichever scents you don't like you can always set up in a nice container in a guest room/bathroom if you have friends/family that stay the night. I do this with all the samples I get when I order from Sephora online.

I tend to like straight florals. I've always been in love with Lily of the Valley scents, but for the last year it's been Coach Poppy Flower.

The Tom Ford starts strong but wears down in about 45 minutes. But I always recommend Midnight Fleur by Nest gorgeous rich slightly sexy floral with just enough spice that it doesn't give of a granny vibe.

I use Chanel Chance(en tendre) and get compliments on it constantly. I've also converted 2-3 friends with it. It's light enough for everyday/work, but sexy/flirty too.

My day-to-day perfume is Britt by Burberry. It's a beautiful perfume and I tend to get many compliments when I wear it.

I also love Tory Burch. It's very feminine and light with floral and citrus notes.
