My question for this community is how do you handle the snarky, rude comments/attitude of your husband that are in response to situations that used to cause these old reactions.

I realized that I was making him act this way, so I've begun making the changes to my attitude, but I'm still getting his old reactions (which makes sense). I'm obviously not responding in snarky anger like I previously would. But it stings and is hurtful. Do I just ignore him? Walk away? I don't know what to do.

Example: we heard loud banging on our garage door to the point we thought it was falling off the tracks. We ran outside (me first out the door) to find a toddler banging on the door. I stopped in the pathway and my husband ran into me on accident. He asked "why did you fucking stop?" Old me would have yelled at him, but new me just said I'm sorry. He then had an attitude with me for a little bit. It was tense sitting in those emotions without my old reaction. I didn't know how to handle the after math.
