I need help vetting a guy. We met online and have been on two dates so far. My general impression is that we share several interests and have a pretty similar worldview. He is good at holding a conversation, which I like because I am shy and I don't have to do much talking. He also seems really dominant, which I definitely find attractive, but he is pushing to move faster than I feel comfortable with. We ended up kissing on the second date, in a public place so I felt comfortable with that part. A little bit later he invited me to come back to his apartment to talk some more, which I had already declined once. I was hesitant to do that but ended up going on the condition that it would just be for talking, no sexy activities. I should have ended the date before that, but hindsight is 20/20.

So we went to his apartment and listened to some music and chatted some more, and then we kissed several more times and he asked me if I wanted to move to his room a few times, which I firmly declined. (Granted, his roommate was in the living room, and he claimed he just wanted to kiss some more, but...he's a heterosexual man. Come on.) I like his dominance, but I'm worried that he keeps pushing when I feel like I'm being clear about it making me uncomfortable. I really like him an I want to keep seeing him, but is this too much of a red flag? He seems to take me seriously otherwise. What is an appropriate pace for physical intimacy, in your opinions?
