Lately I've been reading a lot of stories regarding "alpha" behavior. They often throw the word "frame" and "control" around without understanding what it truly is.

Being an "alpha" (I hate that term) isn't about being a raging, emotional idiot. In fact being an ass in every situation is actually the very essence of beta. Most people view it as insecurity. There are plenty of techniques for EVERY situation of your life that don't require you to indulge your baser impulses of anger, frustration, etc.

Examples of this are aggressive amounts of negging, escalate conflict during conversations or disagreements, name calling, etc.

A true alpha is mostly polite, courteous and doesn't put up with people's shit because he is both too busy to deal with it and frankly has other options. Outwardly showing anger or resentment IS the definition of losing frame. It shows you were inappropriately emotionally invested in a situation and didn't have the ability to control it.

Every tenant of TRP can be applied in a cool, calm manner. The lion doesn't attack everyone and everything in sight to maintain his dominance. They all just know he's in control. When someone opposes him then he strikes. It's swift and powerful and then it's over and he either returns to being the calm, powerful leader or he's exiled and shamed. I'm horrible at analogies.

TL;Dr: Apply TRP principals calmly and effectively. Emotion is the opium of the beta and makes you the fool. Just imagine any time you've witnessed a random guy who gets loud or angry EVER.
