How to make your wife lose every ounce of respect she ever had for you.

[–]lowtide100 24 points24 points24 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That has to be satire.

[–]39th_Step 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

remove the never and it actually works.. kinda..

[–]Mymobileacoconut1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was thinking the same thing!

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What an interesting article! So very interesting that husbands have to hold themselves to these high moral standards where as women are free to do whatever the fuck they want. A gender neutral 10 things not to do in a marriage would have been cool, but nope. Women don't hold themselves to any standard the'll say and do anything that fits their interest. There are no rules in a relationship besides: don't get married.

[–]QuazarTRP18 points19 points20 points 12 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

I am surprised. I did not know there were people so far down on the end of the blue spectrum.

Haha I like the comment someone left there: "looking forward to 'the 10 things wives should never do in their marriage'."

[–]1rporion3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

he got a list, lets see if it makes it through moderation.

Here it is:

http://chrismccurley.wordpress.com/2014/04/08/10-things-wives-should-never-do-in-their-marriage/

It's about as much bullshit as you'd expect.

[–]1FloranHunter10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The tone would be fine except both lists are mildly hostile to men. "Women take their hair seriously" in the first and "men's egos are fragile" in the second.

[–]GuildedCasket12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The wife one at least sounds decently fine: not using sex as a weapon, don't view it as a chore, praise/respect him, don't play games. What's the problem?

[–]1rporion6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, I will take 9.

However, it disturbs me deeply that the art of fellatio is not mentioned.

Edit: number 9 that is, not 9/10

[–]riverraider691 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I like how this one has a disclaimer at the end, but the husband's doesn't.

[–]MrPeachy4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The writer thinks women should have the option to cut the advice they don't agree with while men should just suck it up. It's beautiful because they're trying to protect women's fragile egos while saying men have fragile egos.

Because men are usually to blame for taking things personally and feeding on feel good bullshit, right?

[–]carrotcake48 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Despite it all, number one is still true.

If your wife does something so horrible that you can't forgive her (cheating/ drug addiction/ abuse/ etc) , then divorce.

But holding grudges is going to make the marriage/ your lives a living hell for both of you. If you resent her for something she did in the past (apart from cheating/abuse/ drug addiction/etc) then you and her will both become miserable and angry and bitter people.

Short hair, it's unattractive and unfeminine, don't do it.

[–]11411181 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with #10. As their father, you are not babysitting by any stretch of the definition - you are being a parent.

[–]iamnotfromtexas90 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"When she asks, “What did you do today at work?” Don’t say, “Nothing!” instead, give her all the details."

Ha! What bullocks, a total projection. What OP (she) really means is say, "Nothing, how was YOUR DAY?" So then she can give YOU all her bullshit details.

[–]1701ncc5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The more you compliment a women the less value/power it has. supply and demand

[–]rp3k991 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The same thing can apply in work settings. I maintain pretty high expectations from those who work under me. They know when I give a compliment it means something.

[–]evergonitenitenigga4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

reading that pissed me off a little. is this normal redpill side effect or do i have anger issues.

[–]Senior ContributorSkorchZang9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Normal, you heart goes out to your fellow man living in slavery like that, and you can't help it.

[–]rp3k990 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Anytime you see something or read something that is out if the norm it is expected that anger should arise.

Interalize the anger into something you can change. Self improvement

[–]1bradyo210 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This genuinely made me feel ill

[–]1FloranHunter4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

NEVER be critical of your wife in public. There is NEVER an excuse for this. If you have an issue with your wife, discuss it with her, not your buddies at the golf course.

For a given value of "public", this isn't bad advice. Unfortunately that value is not "your buddies at the golf course."

NEVER refer to keeping your own children as “babysitting.” They’re your kids and you are their father … it’s not babysitting, it’s called being a father.

Isn't this overwhelmingly a female habit? Anyway, I don't see how it would mess up or help a marriage.

[–]Fallen_Angle 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Caught my husband babysitting our kids, totes gonna divorce him now.

My response:

I say it stays up for less than a day, I offer one rep point for anyone who is more precise:

No problem

  1. Dont get fat

  2. Never let my dick go unsucked.

  3. Dont try to manipulate me sexually or emotionally.

  4. I pay most of the bills, show some appreciation.

  5. You chose me because you "could look up to me". That means I look down on you. Therefore this is not a democracy, I lead, you follow.

  6. Never nag. I dont reward shitty behavior.

  7. Be pleasant! Can you do that? Do you even know what it means!?!

  8. Dont dress better for people you dont care about than for the man you supposedly love.

  9. Learn how to cook goddammit!!

  10. Dont get fat, learn how to do blowjobs (yes I know, nobody ever complained, trust me, you suck at it. no pun intended) , learn how to wear a dress, keep your heels on in bed, learn how to cook and STOP NAGGING Q%&$§"""!!!!!

As long as we are keeping it real.....

  1. Oh, and dont frivorce and take half of my stuff and the kids, that would be awesome,

[–]rp3k9911 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

In response to you're number 5. Coming from a military background. We may lead others but don't look down on them. We recognize that while we may be leading the team. We still need the team for the mission to succeed.

[–]1rporion1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I am nor saying to treat them like chattle, but I am saying that if they want a man who is stronger, smarter and whatnot and they get it, "equality" would be stupid.

They deliberately seek out a non-equal.

That has consequences that are a bit unpopular.

[–]down_with_whomever 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you know the right way to respond to nagging, nagging will stop. If you have to tell them not to nag, you're doing it wrong.

[–]1rporion1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True, but a commenter wanted a list.

If there is to be a list, that goes in there.

[–]1rporion1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Did not make it through moderation.

I am of course somewhat surprised by this, because men can have standards, no?

[–]Endorsed ContributorWe_Are_Legion1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Be pleasant! Can you do that? Do you even know what it means!?!

This statement is hypocritical and contradicted by your tone elsewhere.

Its okay to rant here but do not go in front of woman expecting to maintain control with such obvious hooks for pointless rebuttals. They're women, they can't resist grabbing onto presentation.

Also, the guy wrote a list for women too:

http://chrismccurley.wordpress.com/2014/04/08/10-things-wives-should-never-do-in-their-marriage/

[–]1rporion-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, you got a point there.

thank you too

What you "know." Yeah, no thanks. Red pillers are delusional. I'm going to case my beliefs on facts and my vagina.

Which one of those two carries more weight?

[–]Thin-White-Duke-5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

The facts, of course. However, it also helps to have personal insight.

[–]1rporion0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Alright.

So, how come that the most prevalent female sexual phantasy is a rape, excuse me, ravishment phantasy? That violent criminals have more offspring than the rest, even if they spend so much time in jail? That serial killers have fanclubs? That romance novels have a common theme, like a dangerous, dangerous man is tamed by our virtuous heroine? Quite a lot of ra.....vishment going on in these books and they only account for what, 20% or so of all books worldwide, most of that bought by women..... 50 shades of Grey, oh my, even in Feministan, aka, Sweden, in 90% of all couples the man makes more than the woman, why?

To me, all those facts paints a certain picture and yes, its a bit unflattering in the way it pictures women, alas, I am not responsible for what the REVEALED PREFERENCES of women make them look like.

You dont like the redpill because its true and you dont want it to be.

Well, I dont want it to be true either, yet, here we are....

[–]Thin-White-Duke0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I haven't met many women with a rape fantasy, so I would like some sources on that. However, my experiences may be in a minority. Also, a fantasy doesn't mean someone wants to be raped.

How come the most clients dominatrixes have are men in positions of power, like politicians?

I actually prefer to be on top with a male, and on bottom with a female.

Preferences in bed also have hardly anything to do with how people want to be treated outside of bed. Some people like dirty talk in bed, that doesn't mean they want to be insulted all damn day.

Men typically make more money because more women go for jobs like teaching and nursing which make less than male-dominated careers like engineering.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

While I would agree that most women to not want to be raped, around 60 % of them have those phantasies, same with the literature they buy...

I think that there would no argument whatsoever that porn reveales the sexual preferences of men, by and large (yeah, I know there is all kinds of shit out there)and yet, female choices in their diddling material and fantasies are somehow utterly unconnected to what they go for in real life?

Also, you did not get the relevance of the unequal income in Swedish families.

Women are not driftwood, they do not just land on a random man. They are agents who find a man who makes more than them.

Even in oh so egalitarian Sweden.

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Not saying they are unconnected, I'm saying there are differences between bedroom behaviour, personal fantasy, and outside behaviour.

I'm not interested in my partner's money. I'm interested in a partner. A person who I love and loves me. A person that shares some of my passions. That is what a relationship is for.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Ók, but if a woman wants to be "ravished" and "dominated" in bed, do you really think it makes no difference if you act dominant and assertive outside of the bedroom too?

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What's with the accent on the "o"?

I like ear nibbling, doesn't mean I want someone to bite my ears all day. I like my female partner to be a little rough, doesn't mean I want her to beat me.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I dont know where beating comes into this.

Anyhow, a man who is a hamster on the street will not turn into Conan the Barbarian in the bedroom and you know that.

Therefore, if a A LOT of women want to be dominated in the bedroom, you have to project that outside of the bedroom too, or else you wont get them there.

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Not really. It's actually not that hard to keep things in the bedroom. Sex is only one part of a relationship.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You are really, truly, are trying to sell me that a man who does not try to take control in other areas of life will be a lion in the bedroom?

Like, really?

Really, really?

And furthermore, sex is completely disconnected from other parts of the relationship?

REALLY!?!

Come on....

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

He can be. It really isn't that hard. Now, I've only been with rough females, who were absolute sweethearts. They took control in the bedroom, but would throw shoes with me at spiders.

Sex is one part of the relationship. You can be one way in the bedroom and be different in other parts.

I don't want to be "led" by the more "dominant" partner. I want to have crazy sex, and equally contribute to the relationship.

I get the red pill's whole "Matrix" thing, but y'all are definitely not The One and are quite delusional.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yeah....

If you have read the material in the side bar, that was just female sollipism (YOU dont.....therefore....) and the rest was just hamstering.

Why is it so hard to get that the male experience trumps yours when it comes to bedding women?

Google "why chicks dig jerks".

You think all those men who typed this and the close to 50 000 000 hits you get are a coincidence?

What you "feel" is more relevant than the combined experience of dozends if not hundred of million of men?

And again, really?

Is there any conceivable point where you might concede that, yes, maybe we kind of have caught a climpse of the truth.

Because if there is not, what is the point?

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yeah, and it's all written by delusional people. 50 million? You realize there are billions of men. "Blue pillers" out number "Red pillers." All of those billions of "Blue pillers" are doing just fine, if not better.

How exactly does the "red pill" male experience "trump" the "blue pill" male and non-hetero female experience?

Your logic is shoddy and you are clearly being quite unrealistic.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

All delusional...

Alrighty then.

So, nothing to see here, just move along, leave us lunatics alone.

We all will, without any doubt, die desperate and alone, which is what we deserve.

Good day.

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

People see what they want to see. Just like those men find patterns with women, racists find patterns with people of a different colour. Just like the KKK, and people who think 9-11 was inside job, you think you "know" something, but really, you're seeing what you want to see to justify your prejudice or paranoia.

[–]Endorsed ContributorWe_Are_Legion0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

I actually had an insightful discussion with a self-proclaimed "BP" woman about a month back on the topic. Looking back just now, most of her replies were deleted, but given the vitriol RPW get, I suppose you would've been shocked to find a woman agreeing. That said, if the matter is truly over your vagina(and I have 11 of those currently on-call to disagree), you might give this a read.

http://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/1ywzsv/i_am_a_heterosexual_woman_ama/cfpl9md

[–]Thin-White-Duke0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

I actually don't find out surprising woman would agree. People are individuals, and personal beliefs don't depend on your genitals. There were women who were anti-suffrage.

As for your 11, I have an army of vagina...

[–]Endorsed ContributorWe_Are_Legion0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago* (13 children) | Copy Link

1) my point isnt that she agreed(I just found remembered her replies to be insightful and regrettable they were deleted), its that I explained why we don't care when a women claims NAWALT or cite themselves as examples. And maybe it'd explain to you what you came here to comment about without getting into pointless unreasonable hostility that will just get you dismissed.

2) Not to get into dude-bro self-congratulations... I mean "RedPillers"(as you call us) judge women by what they do rather than what they say. When I mention those women, I realize they don't become spokespeople for all womenkind, but even in our... contest of anecdotes, they illustrate more. They are not my friends. They are plates. Girlfriends, in arrangements that suit us. My experiences with these varied individuals counts, it concerns sexual strategy and experience in attracting them and applying game. Yours with your girlfriends probably doesn't illustrate anything much. Maybe your opinions about your feelings but that, again, is completely worthless to us. Even if we were on the field, trying to game you.

[–]Thin-White-Duke0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I came here with hostility, because the "suck my dick and make me a sandwich" mentality can be quite enraging. I know not everyone here thinks that way, but when someone makes that comment and it is the top rated in the thread, it paints a good picture of this community.

I'm sure we look for different things on a relationship. However, the over generalizations and misogyny here is a bit disturbing.

I also judge people by their actions, but tend not to try to break it up by sex.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

"Suck my dick and make me a sandwich" is actually a pretty short list.

Not hard to do at all.

And yet, women who have a list that comes close to a telephone book do not manage even that!

I find that in these gender confused times a simple reminder that there are basics is probably not a bad thing.

Also, this outrage that is often displayed at SMDMMAS, for short is highly amusing, God forbid a man pipes up and states his preferences.

Cant have that.

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Gender confused? Honey, you're talking to an agendered person right now.

Your sexism is disturbing.

If a guy wants something, he can ask. Just like girls.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I worked hard on my sexism!

It is nice of you to notice it.

Alright.

Suck my dick and make me a sandwich......, please?

There, better?

[–]We_Are_Legion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

TRP, as a sub, is an incubator for fostering mature redpill attitudes based on material and theory. It is not meant to carry outside. It is not meant to be perfect. It is supposed to guide anger and afford a refuge of selfish(and justified) venting to men, while they acquire value and go on to apply sexual strategy successfully to make the best deal in the sexual marketplace as they want. Read mod statements about this. EDIT: this is the most recent I can think of remembering

However, the over generalizations and misogyny here is a bit disturbing.

If the language and harshness is what you take offense with, then we don't care. This is a place for men. If what you're looking for is our thought-process on content or explanations of specific beliefs that you find bizarre (for the purpose of your own honest consideration) we can and do oblige. For debate trolls who come in here from the position that we are silly hobos who have to be righted from beliefs you already presume to be ill-considered and under-develoloped, with your arsenal of idiotic strawmans, we promptly ban them or show them the door. We are not interested in intellectual masturbation.

We do not justify our arguments or choice of our subject matter. They exist because they do.

Concerning generalizations; red pill is a rough model of raw animal profiles of attraction of male and female humans. Generalizations are a given. We deal with generalizations. Besides that, RP is also an extremely extensive and ridiculously detailed framework of actionable information on how to take advantage of this information, including creating a positive masculine identity as you want it. People who come in here to claim NAWALT do not fucking get the point and that we know NAWALT.

As for charge of misogyny: We're not misogynistic. We believe men and women are different and are looking for different things. Based on logic, and experience. None of which people who barge in here as critics offer. We have nothing to apologize for.

TL;DR: /u/Thin-White-Duke, you are being incredibly disingenuous why you're here. You're on /r/theredpill having read none of the theory, understanding none of the context, open to reading none of the linked content (provided on request) and then feel it is your right to tell us how we should conduct our tone, opinions and comments or to inform us that it is improper in any way in the first place. When you display a little more than cursory familiarity with the source material or a willingness to read what you criticize, then we talk with you and discuss your reservations. Not before.

Alright, you've caught me. I read up.

Everyone deserves a place to vent, but I've seen some of the venting, and it's a little... creepy. Guys saying, "I lift, I've texted this girl, but she still doesn't wanna fuck. Bitch is friendzoning me!" Well, maybe she is only interested in a friendship. "I kept asking this slut for a blowjob, but she kept saying she is in a relationship, but I know she wants it." Or maybe you are a creep who won't leave a girl who is in a relationship alone.

I can be just as vulgar or blunt as any man, that doesn't really bother me.

People are individuals. It's very hard to generalize people, especially now. Gender lines are blurred more than ever, and the old social barriers are being taken down. There doesn't need to be a strong masculine or feminine identity.

Sure, the average man and average woman approach things differently and may want different things out of other things, but it's bad to box people in like that. What people need to do is ask themselves what they really want and communicate it.

Like......

You know...

Blowjobs and sammiches!

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Is that all you want? BJ's and PB&J's? Lordy, Lordy, Picca Bennicoff. Seriously, that is all you want out of a relationship?

Fine, but I better get some head and some chicken.

[–]rporion1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

All I want.....

No, there are female virtues I would like to see embodied, but you are totally agendered therefore the concept is alien to you...

However, keep his belly full and his balls empty that covers a lot of it..

Like I said, lets cover the basics first, learn how to walk before you try to run.

AND YES, WE ARE THAT SIMPLE AND THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS THAT WE ARE!!!!

[–]Thin-White-Duke1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Female virtues, such as...? It isn't alien to me. What, you want a sub female to do housework? Thank god that isn't what women are for anymore. Those are skills everyone should have (housework, that is). As for the sub thing, no one should have to be below their partner in a relationship (except for sex, if you want). Women weren't made to serve men.

Men aren't that simple, in general. People are individuals, and want what they want. The things a person wants out of life doesn't solely stem from what is between their legs.

1) This is kind of a strawman, but even if its true, (I really hope there are no members who do this.) from basic RP, this is the wrong course of action, and objectively goes against RP maxims and hundreds of pages of available literature. We do not have a scarcity mentality. There are plenty of women. To us, just like you, this is cringeworthy behaviour. We can both agree to roll our eyes here. The difference is, we recognize that the creep has a problem. And there's a solution. And we do not shame him down.

2) Consider; just because it is creepy doesn't mean these thoughts do not exist. "Creeps" do think these thoughts, because this is how BP mentality tells them to be successful. Because they are completely blocked out of the sexual marketplace, this is all they know. They do not have afforded to them, from the BP side, any sympathy or actual advice that works. Only moral posturing and platitudes. These creeps are actually very common, and are born out of a different sexuality; the misguided male. This sort of cluelessness is self-destructive to them. They are going to be abused and manipulated and miserable and generally used as tools over their lifetimes. And no, none of the maybes you offered shows this man an out.

These people, as they find out, are and forever will remain creeps due to their low SMV. With women who are viable partners as well. There is no amount of communication that will get them the relationship they want(they usually settle or fall in love with the first sign of affection or taste of pussy in the controlled market). They will come on redpill and seek advice from the men who are, by and large, fucking casually the types of women that reject them to learn why they are "creeps"... We will kick their asses into gear by showing them what they do wrong, and how to get better. How to improve themselves and BECOME MEN. We do not approach their problem from the mentality of "You should not want her, shame on you". We approach it from the mentality "how can you game a married woman? Here. But consider; she is only the start of the woman buffet. Here is how to reliably get with the rest of them." And should you want to, you'd be surprised how possible it is to game a married woman. This is one of the main reasons RP perpetuates; it offers specific actionable non-nebulous logic and courses of action, for whatever your purpose happens to be. LTR, hookups, keeping plates, etc. And people find phenomenal success using our models. As ametuer or bizarre as they may sound (to unexperienced you who probably believe the sexual marketplace works on magic rather than identifiable cogs), they were developed in the field by people who are occupationally bizarre things such as "man-whores' and "PUAs". How many of those do you know? How normal are they? How bizarre are the things they get away with while getting laid?

We do not pretend to be moral. The information exists for its own sake. People who argue morals here are summarily dismissed. In fact, I would say that since all of RP's targets are always consensually in a relationship with us, why do they not bear equal blame? After all, our methods are hocus pocus. Why do women allow themselves to be used and discarded by assholes like us? And then feel hurt when we do not show any commitment? This was the stated plan from the word go. Furthermore, why are so many women up in arms and can't leave us alone over our silly methods that don't work? Fine, we're idiots. Leave us be.

One theme I always find strange; you are coming into a sub concerned with sexual strategy for men and expecting there to be something for everyone involved. Sexual strategy is amoral and inherently selfish. Unless the person applying it wants something for everyone, it doesnt need to be that way.

Success breeds different sorts of stereotypes, who think different sorts of things. More mature ones than the kind you just mentioned. Sexist ones, but we do not always believe "sexist = automatically wrong" anymore. We know our beliefs are stereotypes, and we know that they are not always true. But they are useful. Consider Briffault's Law in the side bar. Its short, and it lends itself to untold lengths of specific theory. We know it is a stereotype, but it is by and large(99.5%) true, and useful to know. As it is with Women in Love. I am not the best red pill writer, but I guarrantee you, on any specific topic or question, there is a wealth of material. Advice from men on the field. None of our advice is textbook or not open to change.

3) That is not "redpill" venting. This and THIS are examples of "red pill" venting. The second post OP provides evidence.

People are individuals.

And red pill is like a guide book. It is flexible.

It's very hard to generalize people, especially now. Gender lines are blurred more than ever, and the old social barriers are being taken down.

We vehemently disagree. We believe our sexuality is not defined by society, but rather by our biology. Some instincts are uniquely vulnerable to exploitation. Even if gender lines are blurred, we know that masculinity is something women are thirsty for.

There are aspects of human nature that carry over almost universally, and they play a huge part in what we target and exploit. This is a post that explains this using a few RP concepts as examples

There doesn't need to be a strong masculine or feminine identity.

In terms of attraction, there absolutely needs to be. This is ignoring reality in favour of wishful thinking and romantic ideals intended to promote a social experiment I have no interest in participating in, especially if I'm profiting enormously from the sabotaged competition who believe stupid shit like this. Again, there is lots written on this. But the tl;dr is: We absolutely vehemently get-the-fuck-out-already-type of disagree. Go away, in fact.

My only caveat is, I have to game women into being more feminine.

Oh my, you have shown me the error of my ways!

Quite frankly, I have met women who have a list that is half a mile long when it comes to potential mates, so, I dont think mine is unreasonable.

"Women should be treated like high-maintenance lap dogs who will shit themselves if you don't always love them at all times forever!"

and

"Women are independent, you're just holding us back! Don't get in our way, men, because women have all the power and don't need you!"

are contradictory and every woman should be ashamed that a list such as that exists.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Written with good intent but so obviously by a woman! As a woman myself I am continuously amazed at how we don't know shit about what we really need in relationships. We think we want these things but if you gave them all to us we wouldn't be attracted to you anymore, most women just don't know this.

Churchian White-Knightery and Cunt-kissing.

2. NEVER plop your fat rear-end down in a chair after work without first asking your wife if she needs some help with something. Just because your workday has ended, doesn’t mean you can’t still help with hers. Run a vacuum, load the dishwasher, help put the kids to bed, etc. It’s your house too. Get up and do something to help.

If you work all day to support your wife and kids, and your wife is a SAHM, when you get home, the vacuuming, laundry, and dishes better be done already. Just saying. I just got home from work, while she's been at home all day, why am I automatically the fat and lazy one?

3 NEVER be critical of your wife in public. There is NEVER an excuse for this. If you have an issue with your wife, discuss it with her, not your buddies at the golf course.

Fine, makes sense, and I've never talked down to chicks I'm with in public, save for light flirting and teasing. But chicks blab about EVERYTHING to EVERYONE (all her girlfriends know how often you fart, how big your dick is, how good you are in the sack, and of course that you're always the asshole and everything is your fault all the time always), and if my wife were to disrespect ME in public she would find herself without a ride home.

5 NEVER stop pursuing your wife. Work as hard everyday to keep her as you did to win her before you were married. Things like sending flowers, holding hands, leaving notes, etc. It’s called affection. Those things should NEVER end. One of the things you can do is date your wife (at least once a week). One of the worst things you can do for your marriage is not investing any “alone time” as a husband and wife. Find a sitter and take your wife out for supper.

This one is actually true. I had a friend whose (now ex) wife cheated because she felt "lonely" while he was working 4 different jobs to support her ass and put her through vet school. He learned in the aftermath that you have to keep "wooing" your wife during your marriage, that you literally have to put in the same amount of effort day after day that you put into her at the beginning of the courtship. (And, let me tell you, he was a THIRSTY bluebeta, so flowers, gifts, the whole 9 yards). Otherwise, she sees the decreased attention as a threat and goes looking for attention and validation elsewhere.

Solution to this is not to invest a whole lot at the beginning of the relationship. Give her plate status with opportunity for advancement in the company. Don't directly hire her as CEO right out of the gate with a six figure salary, stock options, expense acount, and severance package.

7 NEVER EVER say something critical about your wife’s new haircut. There are a few things women take VERY serious, and their hair style is one of them. Being critical about your wife’s new hair style will only lead to the doghouse, sofa or both.

Oh, if my wife came home one day having chopped all of her beautiful hair off, she WILL know exactly how I feel.

9 NEVER invest more time into your hobbies or occupation than your marriage and family. Your marriage should be FIRST priority, your family second and then your occupation and hobbies. Don’t be dumb enough to put your marriage and family on the back burner and later regret it.

It's called "having a mission", and women find it very sexy and powerfully attractive. If your wife knows she's the most important thing in your life, she'll look for a better branch to swing to. BTW, why are "marriage" and "family" listed as separate entities? Your wife is your family.

6. [...] You can’t over-praise your wife. [...] No wife has ever said, “I don’t like it when you say nice things about me.”

But we all know here this is absolutely false. There is such a thing as over-praising, there is such a thing as being "too nice" and there are many, many wives who have complained about it.

"NEVER invest more time into your hobbies or occupation than your marriage and family. Your marriage should be FIRST priority, your family second and then your occupation and hobbies. Don’t be dumb enough to put your marriage and family on the back burner and later regret it."

You could do that. Or you know, you can prioritize the hobbies / career / dream, and lead an interesting life, unlike every single man who puts maintaining his wife's needs first. When in doubt, put your relationship on the back burner, work on you, and then if she can't deal with that, you've just saved yourself the trouble of further time-waste.

You are critical of your wife when and where it is necessary. Rarely is that in public but it just might be. The point is this writer has no idea what women find attractive. This was painful reading. It had to be a woman! Any man who follows this will find his woman is not sexually attracted to him inside of a week. Bowing down to her will make her increasingly hostile and erratic as she loses the tingles.

At least the advice for women was better but in that case I agree the omission of proper blowjob technique and enthusiasm ruined the entire piece.

[–]the_fluffy_one_-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

On the whole, this sounds like decent advice. Talk to your wife about the things you do, help out around the house, keep the romance alive, don't be vindictive, put your family first and look after the kids. The only ones I actually take issue with are 3,7,8 as there will be times when something is so wrong that you need to comment on it. It's surprising how close to RP the wife list is (also how closely related the two lists are...)
