While there are some childfree people here, not having children isn't a core value of the community, at all. If you want to have kids, go right ahead. At 7 billion people or even at 30-300 million people in your particular country your individual offspring does not matter to the whole. Assuming you have some positive trait, it will soon get diluted in the ocean of differentiated genes.

Evolution works mostly by killing individuals with bad genes, not so much by promoting superior genes. We do not have a high mortality rate connected with our genotype, so there is no natural selection. It's just a giant soup of differentiated genes without consequence.

Not being in the process of rapid selection is a much happier situation. Consider that right now there are parts of the world where Ebola is selecting genotypes with a 75% exclusion rate.

Women do not deserve any special treatment for having genes. Men have genes too. It takes both to make a baby.

To some people, passing on their genetics is not of great importance to them. When you die, you're gone. After a century, no one will remember you. Any children you have might not breed offspring themselves.

One thought your post provoked, and I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but I think women's genes are not correctly weighted by men. For example, BBW. Yeah there are lots of pretty ones out there and hey, more cushion for the pushing', but gal's probably going to die of heart disease or diabetes. Edit: All in all, it may roughly cost $80,000-$90,000 dollars, largely due to the over-inflated price of renting a woman's womb, as well as buying eggs. However, with time, these should decrease (hopefully, if the artificial womb comes to fruition soon). Still, I'm not sure about how much the genetic engineering will cost; you may not even be able to afford it unless you're some rich businessman.

Edit2: I can only hope bachelor men that desire to have children without the burden of a parasite wife can engage in surrogacy/have children via the artificial womb. At present, it's really only open to infertile couples, and homosexuals, though there is no legislation (to my knowledge) against the use of this method by heterosexual bachelors.

As far as genes go women do not have much variation compared to men. This is statistically speaking only. Women have a standard bell curve while men have a lot of outliers in the good and bad spectrum.

The reasons are due to reproduction systems. A male that is more capable can spread his gene easier than a capable female.

The way I think of it is genetically, we are our Y chromosome. If you have relatives passing on that Y, your contribution isn't really necessary.

As for the quality of woman, it doesn't matter too much either as long as you have a son or three to pass on that Y. If the boys are as horny as you were, that Y will get passed on. You can increase your boys' chance at quality women by contributing to their status so really it's more about you anyway.
