Most women don't explicitly tell orbiters that there is no possibility of sex. They know they can keep them around if the orbiter thinks there's even a 1% chance of having sex. That's not to say orbiters shouldn't be responsible for putting themselves in that position.

I agree with what you're getting at. Here's why it's villified and hated so much:

As other posters said, the villification comes because women with beta orbiters bending over backwards to avoid telling them they're not interested in them, to keep them thinking they have a chance with them, etc. I've been on the end of this myself once - again and again, once the mood swung towards talking about dating or things going somewhere at all, she would always carefully deraill it. If I tried harder to get into the topic she'd act offended. Then she'd go home, and text me winky faces and such and try to keep me on the hook.

Guys who are upfront about having multiple plates and their lack of interest in a relationship aren't doing the same thing. Guys who use the ambigouity to hide it are.

Feminists wrote a series of articles following their usual pattern - first they angrily claimed that women didn't do that and it didn't happen, and it was offensive to women to say it was happening. Then eventually when that didn't work, so they switched to telling everyone that a man who didn't remain a beta orbitter and stopped hanging out with the girl was being a jerk, was a bad human being, and was doing something morally wrong and "not treating her like a human being" because he didn't continue in his pattern of her using him.

Can you imagine how evil it would be to claim that a woman who's a plate is an immoral and bad human being because she breaks things off with you? Holy crap.

Finally, it's just a matter of perspective. Men complain about things women do to them, women complain about things men do to them, neither group complains nearly as much about things that don't affect them. You don't go to a sports forum and find people complaining about the latest intel chipset having a bug, you don't go to a mens forum and find men complaining about women being plates (usually).

So fundamentally - I agree with your observation that it's basically equivalent between the genders. It's the above reasons that one is often hated on here, and the other isn't.

But for a man it takes real effort to build up plates.

A dude getting laid as often as he wants is either gifted by God, or has to figure out a ton of math, or first experiment with years of inceldom, or achieve some kind of red pill enlightenment.

EDIT: Another thing is guys only use plate for sex but women use their orbiters not just for attention but also for transportation, monetary benefits, personal and emotional security. She will take what she can get from one guy and fill the remaining things from another guy.

It seems that the idea of a woman using beta orbiters for attention while giving them no physical affection is exactly the same as a man spinning plates. He uses the woman for physical affection while giving her none of the attention that she craves.

It's a useful analogy, normally discussed in the manosphere in terms of beta orbiter = emotional slut.

Different communities make different moral judgements. The important thing is to recognize the orbiting dynamics, so that you can decide on what terms you want to participate or not participate. A lot of men have been brought up to be effectively beta orbiters, and it's taken the manosphere to educate them about it. Much of the anger at beta orbiting is men kicking themselves for how stupid they've been, and warning other men against that behavior. There's not much point in condemning the beta orbitee for accepting free stuff when it's given: it's a matter of helping men to know that what they're giving away has value.

Turning a guy into an orbiter is deception. The woman is holding out the possibility of sex in order to get free shit out of a guy.

One is morally and ethically on the up and up, a win win, and no one is getting hurt (plate spinning).

The other is outright evil Machiavellian deception, a con game, a disgusting example of human nature (turning someone into an orbiter).

I'm definitely no authority on this issue considering I've been as beta as they come until I was introduced to trp. (Now I associate more with being a sigma)

However to answer your question: the red pill, to me, is just about uncovering life for what it is. I view it as, if humans were never intelligent, how would men and women interact. If we broke it down to strictly biological preferences, how would the human race progress. Without any political or social stigmas/ restraints, what are the motives for men and women alike?

Women with beta orbiters and men spinning plates are equal imo. Whether the work it takes to spin plates is harder than merely having orbiters is true or not is irrelevant. At the end of the day he who spins plates will have his sexual desires met and she who has orbiters will have her attention needs met.

The point of trp is to make sure you're having your own needs fulfilled. Keep yourself happy whether by spinning plates or having an ltr. At the end of the day if you've maintained your happiness and manhood, then you are successful.

It depends on your perspective. I fell into the trap of "spinning plates" thinking I was a pimp. Recently I realized I was still indirectly seeking female validation.

When a plate dropped so did my self-perceived value. Maybe not much, but enough to trigger an urge to find a new plate.

Just a warning that sometimes spinning plates is still buying into to the female imperative if you let it affect you too much emotionally.

Orbiters never know what is going on with them and the woman they are after. She leaves them in a mysterious trail of hamster turds. She acts like they might be something or acts like there might be sex, but really, there isn't anything. With most men that I've seen spin plates, including myself, they will be up front and say hey this is what is going on and this is all it's ever going to be. Sometimes that's what makes them wanting more.

You misunderstand the reason for spinning plates - feminism has ruined women to such a degree that one woman does not have enough qualities to deserve the benefits of a dedicated man, therefore a man needs 2, 3 or more at the same time just to have what amounts to one proper pre-feminism woman.

It's the same in the ways that you mentioned, the brain is dumb and when it wants something it keeps hope alive, People here blame the orbiters a lot because it happened to them or they don't want to feel bad about doing the same thing to women.

The main difference is that spinning a woman will ruin her for LTRs whereas an orbiter that breaks out of the girls gravity is likely to be better off in LTRs. Either way these people are shitting where they eat.

How the hell is this "exactly the same". In one instance, you are having sex with your plates. In the other instance, a woman is not having sex with her obiters.

However, I would agree with you that it's kind of a double standard to say that a woman is demonized for having orbiters and a man isn't for spinning plates.

Spin plates because it's what you WANT to do and only to women that are okay with that type of relationship. NOT because of some sick hatred against women that kept you in orbiter mode. That's how I look at it.
