I sincerely believe men have always been the ones responsible for wordly things and humanity's place in the world. Women for the reproduction and creation of humanity itself.

Today we're seeing women claiming their place in the space of worldly power and even go so far as to say that men are of no use in reproduction.

Women want it all. They want the fruits of the reproduction AND of the wordly achievements.

Yet they don't want any responsibility for it. In fact they can't even fathom what such responsibility means.

I have immense respect and admiration for Peterson. I consider him to be a modern day prophet and we all would be better of by paying close to attention to everything he says.

However, these kinds of things always remind me of how there's never "rules" for being a woman. How can his vision of a more virtuous world be accomplished when thought leaders like himself only ever address one side of the equation (the side that needs it less, I'd say)?

Messages of sacrifice and duty -- no matter how fulfilling they may be (I believe him) -- lose their power when it's basically an instruction to become a chump.

Star Trek has a better morality in it than your religion, and the nerds who are into it are far less annoying than bible nerds.

There appears to be three themes in those aphorisms. A man's role is to ....

1) Be wise 2) Be a protector 3) Be a provider

However, modern society intellectually retards boys via the education system. Feminism attempts to suppress the "toxic masculinity" which gives men the capability to be The Protector. The only masculine trait modern society sees men as good for is The Provider. The result is many men only being 1/3 of their potential.

I do not understand this Peterson worship at all. He called out some SJWs in his university, and now man-children on Youtube are calling him some kind of prophet.

I listened to one of his lectures to see what all of the fuss is about. I think it was on Existentialism. Vague assertion after vague assertion. Loosely quoting other authors without a clear point (authors like Dostoevsky and Camus, whom I've read). Going on for two hours without giving you any substantial point, so you "think" there is some hidden depth he's indirectly communicating. Holy shit, I had to turn it off. Go listen to a Richard Feynman lecture if you want to hear an actually intelligent thinker explain the world to you.

I was unimpressed with the lecture I heard, but I thought maybe he was just being self indulgent in that particular lecture. Then I heard him "debate" Sam Harris on his podcast, and he really came across as a charlatan there. He was arguing that objective truth doesn't exist outside of a Darwinian "survival of the fittest" concept. Meaning, something is true only if it helps us survive. That makes zero sense. As Sam put it: if believing your wife cheated on you causes you to kill yourself, it doesn't mean your wife cheating on you is false. Something being true does not need to aid in your survival.

Anyways, Sam was painfully trying to expose the fallacy of his cloudy assertions, and Peterson kept doubling down. It was cringe worthy. Peterson reminds me of so many of the mediocre liberal arts university professors I had. They've read a lot, but none of their original ideas are clearly communicated, because the ideas themselves are not useful or true.
