Look at Spain and Portugal. I remember watching a video about effed up Spain was because of its deep rooted feminism. There was some women in charge of the family court system iirc and she was literally destroying families and clearly favoring women.

There is another post on this sub about how women in teaching let the smallest bit of power get to their head.

Some people have likened it to betting your net worth on a coin flip. That is an appropriate analogy if it's a trick coin that always comes up vagina and the other side doesn't put up any money, while you put up your children, dignity, and freedom.

This knowledge is starting to trickle down, at least I hope so. I think we are at an inflection point because I see a lot of young men that have seen where the road leads and aren't going down it. But men have trouble learning from the experiences of other men and the urge to start a family and have children is strong.

thanks for this man I was always thinking that these USA boys in the red pill have it really bad in their country and the divorce issue is not as prevalent in mine ( I am too young to marry or divorce so don't really see it either)

The census bureau said our divorce rates are declining slowly. Not rising. Less people are getting married so that probably affects it. But there isn't going to be some massive jump.

yeah it's a nice country no worries, depends on what you like to do ofcourse.

Just also small and has very modest/average way of life in the sense that we are not top% in alot of things in the world. We don't really have nationalism/belgium pride in my country in comparison to USA, France, Germany although our country on itself is actually awesome. While our country is problebly better in alot of respects to USA, we're not going to YEAH BELGIUM FUCK YEAH rarely see that happening. 30% of our country wants to spit us in halve and make 'Belgium' a thing of the past

Divorce rates tell only half the story.

In China and Japan marriages are considered to be more of a partnership (although women hardly ever put in their part of the deal these days) with most men getting their sex from hookers and divorce not being very common (although that's steadily changing with lower financial security in Japan).

You're not wrong. Religion was the backbone that supported the marriage institution. Fear of social (and possibly spiritual) consequences is the only thing women typically respond to. Mind you, religion without the social ramifications doesn't have anywhere the same effect. Sluts in the US fall into this category.

Religion makes sense. It's the only historically proven method for limiting hypergamy. Literally nothing else works.

Divorce rates don't mean much, other than the fact that marriage doesn't work AT ALL. Some places, it's illegal to get divorced, so the rates are low. Other places it's just VERY taboo. But overall, even where divorce rates are low, there are still a good majority of couples who stay together unhappily for a variety of reasons, which is much worse than getting divorced.

The scenario is changing very rapidly. Lots of people now splitting in early thirties with heavy out of court settlements involving jewellery, lump sum cash amounts etc. All of this with husband and family held under the gunpoint of anti-dowry law. (for context - dowry cases in India are treated pretty much like rape cases in West, presumption of guilt, incarceration during the period of trial, police and judicial system stacked against you)

There is staggering amount of CC riding in the urban environment, especially among the working women.

Yeah dude, last year I moved from my village to a metro city for job. I think these habits are frequent in high class societies.CC riding is rampant in MNC companies. But these issues are more pronounced in north India. South India is better than north in these aspect. But rural India yet haven't yet infected.

I'm also from India. I understand why you are saying India is BP. Yes, we have the worst anti men laws but we don't have most pro women laws(no fault divorce etc.,). We still have cultural values intact in rural areas. But urban India is following west. You are right about divorce rate though. Its rising especially in metro cities. Compared to west India is more RP.

The question is why 66% of divorces are initiated by women. You would think it would be easy enough for the lawmakers to code it into law that the person initiating divorce forfeits alimony or has it limited to at most 12 months.

Also child support based on previous standard of living is a complete BS. It should be national average or lower if previous standard of living was lower. The standard of living will always be lower after divorce because you have to support two separate households and arrange babysitting.

It just seems like allot of the laws were written without logical thought. IE alimony extending past retirement age. You're going to throw geriatric in jail over contempt of court cause he can't afford alimony. That's just fucked up.
