I've seen men in the red pill community advocate for mate guarding quite a few times and I figured I'd address it. They more or less believe the right thing to do is to prevent their girlfriend from having any orbiters or male friends, prevent her from going out with her friends, etc. Their goal is to prevent cheating.

I believe this line of thinking starts from a guy new to redpill. He learns of a woman's hypergamous nature, reads stories of women cheating, etc. He becomes skeptical of women, and rightfully so. But this skepticism manifests itself as insecure behavior. He comes to the conclusion that he should be "dominant" and tell the woman not to talk to other men. Some men are even more aggressive about it, by directing their aggression to the orbiters themselves. They think they're being tough, but all that they are doing is exposing their insecurity, that they feel threatened by the so called betas. They are pseudo alphas. Women WILL detect this insecurity. and they WILL lose attraction as a result.

Mate guarding is unattractive to women. You are indirectly communicating that you fear that she will leave you for another man. You are telling her that she is a high value prize that you are desperate to maintain. That you don't have abundance to replace that high value prize. You are telling her that you fear these other men are better than you- and she will believe you

I agree it can be annoying to have orbiters around your girlfriend. Some can be scummy little fuckers. But, you must have the mindset that these men are no threat. Just view them as women. Think to yourself. Do you think a high value, high abundance man would be worrying if another guy steals his girlfriend? No, he's confident that he's the best she can get. And in the situation that she does cheat, he has abundance to get another girl. He has no reason to stress over any competition. Give her the benefit of the doubt until you can confirm that she cheated or there's reasonable likelihood, such as flirting.

A girl may also intentionally present this dilemma to you in shit test form. If a girl comes to you and says "there's this guy i know, he's really cool!" or something along those lines. This is a shit test. She's trying to make you jealous, gauge your reaction. If you start peacocking- talking about how great you are, or start putting down the guy- a guy you've never met, you failed the shit test.

After all, it is normal for a girl to have orbiters or male friends. take a step back, outside of the red pill community. you really think it's healthy to be preventing a girl from having male friends? and regardless, it's inevitable and unavoidable. If a girl has any outside contact with the world, she's gunna pick up some orbiters. There are men EVERYWHERE thirsty for a chance, especially if your girlfriend is high value. It's simply unrealistic to try and prevent this. She could walk to the corner store and have some guy approach her. You can't monitor her 24/7. You must give her the benefit of the doubt, until there is reasonable evidence.

if your relationship gets to the point that your girlfriend is getting too close with other men, flirting, or other red flags of cheating, YOU MESSED UP A LONG TIME AGO. and mate guarding is NOT THE SOLUTION. in fact, mate guarding will exacerbate the issue because you will decrease your attractiveness even more. Take a step back. Evaluate where you went wrong, where you decreased your attractiveness. Fix it.
