Summary: Don't wake up in 20 years and realize you wasted your life.

Body: I saw a post on the front page of reddit today of a screenshot of all his video games. It was his 40th birthday and he wanted to relive his twenty's. The word's "relive his twenty's" really struck me. Now I can give this guy the benefit of the doubt here and say he didn't spend an entire decade playing video games and accomplished something but the fact of the matter is that this guy wasted his precious time living in a virtual world and his best memories are from virtual games. I can only assume he spends his time watching porn and TV which is essentially living the lives of other men. He doesn't even realize all that he might have been able to do had he pushed himself and everything he's given up.

I would strongly argue that most of society lives in a virtual world and wastes their lives addicted to a dopamine rush with no real goals or aspirations. The girls I know are addicted to social media and reality TV. They have no hobbies, no goals, no dreams. The guys aren't any different. Addicted to watching sports, video games, porn, and social media. Neither are able to cook, clean, or perform basic fitness to keep them mentally and physically healthy.

Most of these people will never wake up and will die having spent a majority of their time working a soulless job and indulging in virtual distractions.

The only way out is to forgo the distractions of society and see them for what they really are. Watching sports and playing video games are a waste of time just like every other bullshit stimuli you spend your time on. Start viewing these things through red-tinted glasses before it's too late and you wake up at the age of 40 with your memories of your best years being an illusion.

Conclusion: Society is encouraged to waste it's time on addicting stimuli. See the distractions for what they are and don't live the dull lives of the masses.
